The trainers

Two trainers and one blue van.

The two people who will knock on your door: Jac, who started Doorstep in 2019, and Dan, twenty years in community exercise and falls prevention.

Jac Thomas

Founder, home and garden sessions

Jac worked in a Cardiff gym for nine years and noticed that the people who most needed it were the ones least likely to walk in. She bought the van in 2019 and has been training people in their own living rooms, kitchens and gardens across the Vale ever since. Level 3 personal trainer, first aid, enhanced DBS (placeholders on this demonstration site).

Dan Evans

Older adults and workplace groups

Dan spent twenty years running community exercise and falls prevention classes for the local health board before joining Jac in 2022. He leads the older adults visits and the workplace groups, and he is the calmest person you will ever see get a ninety-year-old up off the floor. Postural stability instructor, Level 3, first aid, enhanced DBS (placeholders).
