£32 to £42 an hour depending on level, at the centre, the same tutor and slot every week
One-to-one tuition
An hour a week with one tutor at one desk, on the things your child actually finds hard: the first forty-five minutes free as an assessment, then a plan to the exam board's specification, past papers and mark schemes, and a report to you every half term. The way most of our students work, for most subjects.

Most of what we do is one child, one tutor, one hour a week, and it works because the hour is spent on exactly what that child cannot yet do rather than what a class is doing that week. The free first session finds that out; the plan after it says what we will do about it and when you should see the difference.
After the assessment the tutor writes a short plan: the topics, in order, the exam board and the paper, and a rough date for each milestone. Lessons are an hour at the centre in one of eight rooms, the same tutor and the same slot every week in term time, with a short piece of homework if it helps and none if it does not. The tutor keeps notes on every lesson and you get a written report every half term with the grade we think your child is at.
Parents are welcome to sit in on the first session and to ring the tutor on the office number between lessons. We tell you honestly if we think a different tutor, a group, or stopping would serve your child better, and we never sell a block of hours to someone who has reached the point we were aiming for. Blocks of ten hours paid up front are cheaper (£295, £350 or £390 by level) and are refundable pro rata if you stop.

Questions about one-to-one
Which exam boards do you cover?
WJEC, AQA, Edexcel and OCR at GCSE and A-level, and the tutor teaches to the one your child is sitting. Tell us the board and we check the specification before the first session.
Can we change tutor?
Yes, at any point, with no awkwardness: tell the office and we rematch. It happens a few times a year and it is usually the right call.
Start with the free session. Forty-five minutes, no obligation.
Tell us the year group and the subject, and we match a tutor and offer a slot for a free first session at the centre or online: an assessment, a chat with you both, and an honest view of what would help. We reply within the working day. Or ring the office.
