Tuesday 7pm
Back to netball
For people who last played at school, or never did. One hour on Tuesdays, £4 a session, the first free, and nobody keeps score.

Back to netball is the reason this club is still here. It is an hour on a Tuesday for anyone who fancies it, from those who played for the county to those who only remember the bib.
We start with a slow warm-up, a bit of catching and footwork, then small games with a lot of swapping about. The rules arrive a few at a time. If you take three steps with the ball someone will shout "footwork" and laugh, and then you will shout it at them next week.
You do not need to be fit. Some people come to get fit, some to get out of the house, and some have been coming for ten years because of the people. Talk to your GP first if you have a heart condition or have been told to take it easy, and tell Nerys about any bad knees.
After a few weeks some people ask about matches, and we have a place for them. Plenty never do, and that is fine by us.

Questions about back to netball
I have not played since I was fourteen. Is that normal?
It is the single most common sentence we hear. You will be in good company.
Can I come if I am pregnant or have just had a baby?
Talk to your midwife or GP first. Nerys can adapt sessions and will not push you.
Do I have to book?
No. Just turn up at five to seven. If you are nervous, ring and someone will look out for you at the door.
Your first session is free. Bring trainers and some nerve.
You do not need to be fit, young or any good at all. Come along, try a bib on, and see who is laughing by the end of the warm-up. It is usually everyone.
