I last played when I was fourteen, and I am forty-six now. I was sure I would be the worst there, and I was, but no one seemed to mind. Eighteen months on I am a wing defence and I have opinions about it.

What they say.
Six members, including one who is right about the Monday night heating. We print no scores, and we chase nobody for a kind word.

Six of them.
My daughter is shy, and I expected tears. She was running about with a bib on within ten minutes. Grace knew my name by the second week and I know exactly who to ring.
I came from another club and Nerys put me at wing attack when I had played goal shooter for ten years. I complained for a month. She was right, which is very annoying.
I love the club, but the hall is freezing on Monday nights until about half past six, and the juniors stand around at the start. Could someone please put the heating on earlier?
I have a new hip and a bad temper. Thursday mornings sort out both. I had not touched a netball since 1968, and now I am told off for arguing with the umpire.
I did the course because no one else would. A nervous first game, a mentor stood right next to me, and now I look forward to it. My daughter thinks it is hilarious that I can send people off.

About that complaint
Lisa is right about Mondays.
The sports hall heating goes on a timer that the leisure centre sets, and it was not coming on until six, which is when our juniors arrive. Grace has asked and the centre has moved it to half past five for the winter. Meanwhile the first ten minutes of Monday sessions now start with a game that nobody can do standing still.
It is better. It is not warm. Bring a jumper.

Your first session is free. Bring trainers and some nerve.
You do not need to be fit, young or any good at all. Come along, try a bib on, and see who is laughing by the end of the warm-up. It is usually everyone.
