Getting here
Where
Ty Mawr Barn is on the Llanover road a mile south of Llanfair Kilgeddin, between Abergavenny and Usk in Monmouthshire. The postcode takes you to the lane end; follow the brown signs for a further half mile to the stone gateway.
Getting here
Abergavenny is fifteen minutes and has the station (Cardiff 40 minutes, Bristol 55, Manchester direct). The M4 at Newport is twenty-five minutes, the A40 ten. We book minibuses from the station and the hotels for £90 a run.
Parking
Sixty cars on the hard standing by the gateway, a drop-off at the Courtyard doors, and overflow on the Meadow edge in summer. Cars can stay overnight and be collected by noon on Sunday.
Access
Everything on the ground floor is step-free: the Barn, the Cowshed, the Courtyard, the Snug and six of the Stable rooms, one with a wet room. The Meadow is grass with a hard path to the tipi pitch.
Staying
Twelve rooms here sleeping 26, included in the packages. For everyone else, Abergavenny has the Angel and six smaller hotels, Usk has three, and there are a dozen cottages within ten minutes; we send a list with the booking.
Viewings
Tuesday to Saturday by appointment, an hour with Ceri or Lowri, at the time of day your ceremony would be. Bring whoever you like; the coffee and the welsh cakes are from the kitchen.
Lost in the lanes? Ring 01873 960 420. Look for the stone gateway with the brass sign.
Pick a date, tell us the numbers, and come and stand in it.
The enquiry form has a date picker and takes two minutes; Ceri replies within the working day with a viewing if the date is free and two honest alternatives if it is not. Viewings are an hour, Tuesday to Saturday, at the time of day your ceremony would be.
