Crates delivered the week before, the move at the weekend, desks up and screens on by Monday; from £110 an hour with three crew
Office moves
Offices of five to a hundred desks across Cardiff and Newport: crates delivered and labelled the week before, desks dismantled and rebuilt, IT disconnected and reconnected by your people or ours, the move on a Friday night or a weekend, and everyone sitting at the right desk on Monday. A project lead, a floor plan and a crate count.

An office move is a logistics job with furniture in it. The difference between a good one and a bad one is the fortnight before: a floor plan with every desk numbered, crates delivered and labelled to those numbers, a crate count, a lift booked at both ends, and someone from us on the floor who has the plan on a clipboard. The lifting is the easy part.
Sioned runs the office moves. A site visit at both ends, a floor plan with desk numbers, a fixed-price quote for the whole job (most companies prefer it to the hourly rate), crates delivered the week before with labels and a packing note for staff, and a timetable: IT down at five on Friday, desks dismantled and loaded that evening, unloaded and rebuilt on Saturday, IT back on Sunday, a walk-round with you at four. Monday morning everyone sits down.
We move the furniture, the crates, the files and the plants. IT disconnection and reconnection is done by your IT people or by the contractor we use, quoted separately. Unwanted furniture goes to a charity we work with or to the recycling centre with a waste transfer note. Weekend and evening rates are the same as weekday, because that is when offices move.

Questions about office moves
How far ahead?
Four weeks for an office under twenty desks, eight for a bigger one, mostly for the crates and the lift bookings. We have done a ten-desk office in a week when a lease ran out.
Do you do archive storage?
Yes: boxed files in our warehouse at container rates, catalogued, with a box brought back to you within a day of asking.
Bedrooms in, a figure out. Then a video survey and a quote in writing.
The estimate page turns the number of bedrooms into a van, a crew and a price before you ring. The quote form takes two minutes; Dai or Sioned replies within the working day with a video survey slot the same week, and the quote after it is the figure on the invoice.
