From £65 an hour with two of us; a three-bed house is usually £850 to £1,100
Home removals
The whole house, across Cardiff or across the country: a video survey the week before, the right van for the load, a crew who have done it a thousand times, blankets on everything wooden, and the beds built at the other end. Priced by the hour and estimated by bedrooms on this website, so you know before you ring.

Most of what we do is houses: a one-bed flat in Canton going to Penarth, a three-bed semi in Whitchurch going to Bristol, a farmhouse in the Vale going to the coast. The method is the same at every size. A video survey on your phone the week before so we send the right van and the right number of people; a quote in writing that night; and on the day a crew who load the way the van wants loading, which is the whole trade.
The crew arrives at the time on the quote, walks the house with you, and wraps everything wooden in padded blankets before it moves. Drawers stay in and are taped; wardrobes travel whole where the stairs allow; beds are stripped and rebuilt at the other end; the fridge goes last and comes off first. Boxes go in the van by room so they come off into the right room, which is why we ask you to label them by room rather than by contents.
The hourly rate covers the crew, the van, fuel within 30 miles of the depot, blankets, straps, a sack truck and a piano trolley, and £10,000 of goods-in-transit cover. Beyond 30 miles we charge £1.20 a mile each way and say so on the quote. A three-bed house with a Luton and two crew is usually five to six hours door to door across the city, which is where the £850 to £1,100 on the estimate page comes from; the quote after the survey replaces the estimate.

What it costs
By the hour: £65 (medium van), £75 (long wheelbase), £85 (Luton), £110 (7.5-tonne, three crew), three hours minimum, including VAT. The estimate page gives a figure by bedrooms. Including VAT, fuel within 30 miles and £10,000 of cover. The vans page has the four sizes and what each holds; the estimate page turns bedrooms into a figure.
Questions about home moves
What if it takes longer than the estimate?
You pay the hours it takes at the quoted rate, rounded to the half hour, and the crew tells you at lunchtime how it is going. If it takes less, you pay less. The three-hour minimum is the only floor.
Do you move things we have not packed?
Yes, but it costs time; a drawer of loose things takes four times as long as a taped box. The packing service does the whole house the day before if you would rather not.
Bedrooms in, a figure out. Then a video survey and a quote in writing.
The estimate page turns the number of bedrooms into a van, a crew and a price before you ring. The quote form takes two minutes; Dai or Sioned replies within the working day with a video survey slot the same week, and the quote after it is the figure on the invoice.
