Cardiff to anywhere in Britain as a fixed price; Ireland and the near Continent quoted
Long distance and Europe
A move from Cardiff to London, Manchester, Edinburgh or Cornwall is a fixed price rather than an hourly one: the video survey, a lorry sized for the load, a crew who sleep over, and delivery the next morning. Part-loads to share a lorry on the regular London and Bristol runs cost less if your dates are flexible. Ireland and France, Spain and the Netherlands quoted.

Beyond about 60 miles the hourly rate stops making sense and we quote the job: the loading day, the driving, the crew's night in a Premier Inn, the unloading, and the lorry coming home. The quote is fixed once the survey is done. We run to London and Bristol most weeks and to the North and Scotland most months, and if your dates can flex to ours a part-load is a lot cheaper.
A full load is your house alone on the lorry: loaded on day one, delivered the next morning, the crew staying over near you. A part-load shares the lorry with another household going the same way, sealed and separate, with a two-day delivery window instead of a fixed morning; it is the way to do a flat to London for under a thousand. Either way the goods-in-transit cover is the same and the crew that loads is the crew that unloads.
Ireland is a ferry from Fishguard or Holyhead and we have done it forty times. France, Spain and the Netherlands are quoted with the customs paperwork we now need for household goods, which we complete for you; allow six weeks for a European move and ask early, because the paperwork is the slow part, not the driving.

What it costs
Fixed price after the video survey. As a guide: a two-bed Cardiff to London £1,350 to £1,650; a three-bed to Manchester £1,900 to £2,300; a four-bed to Edinburgh £2,800 to £3,400. Part-loads from £650. Including VAT, fuel within 30 miles and £10,000 of cover. The vans page has the four sizes and what each holds; the estimate page turns bedrooms into a figure.
Questions about long distance
What if the new house is not ready?
The load goes into a container at Leckwith at £28 a week and comes out when you ring; no second loading charge if it is under four weeks.
Can we travel with the lorry?
No, for insurance reasons, but we will tell you the plan to the hour and the crew rings when they are an hour away.
Bedrooms in, a figure out. Then a video survey and a quote in writing.
The estimate page turns the number of bedrooms into a van, a crew and a price before you ring. The quote form takes two minutes; Dai or Sioned replies within the working day with a video survey slot the same week, and the quote after it is the figure on the invoice.
