What we fit

Six things we fit, each priced.

Solar, batteries, heat pumps and EV chargers for homes, servicing and repairs for systems old and new, and commercial roofs. Each page says how we design it, who fits it, how long it takes and what it costs.

No. 01

Solar panels

Solar panels designed for your roof after a free survey, fitted by our own MCS-certified roofers and electricians, with the inverter, the isolators, the DNO notification and the export registration done for you. A ten-panel system is about £6,000 installed; the savings estimate shows what it might produce.

About £6,000 for ten 435W panels (4.

No. 02

Home batteries

A battery stores the solar you would otherwise export for 15p and lets you use it in the evening instead of buying at the full unit rate, or charges overnight on a cheap tariff. 5 to 15kWh, wall-mounted in a garage, utility room or loft. About £4,800 for 10kWh fitted with solar.

About £4,800 for a 10kWh battery fitted with new solar, or £5,400 added to an existing system.

No. 03

Air source heat pumps

Air source heat pumps sized from a room-by-room heat-loss calculation, fitted with a new hot water cylinder and the radiators that need changing, by our own heat pump engineers. We apply for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant on your behalf and take it off the price. The sizer gives a first idea by bedrooms.

Typically £9,800 to £14,000 installed before the grant, depending on size and radiators.

No. 04

EV chargers

7kW home chargers fitted on the wall by the drive, tethered or untethered, with load management so the house fuse never trips and a solar mode that charges the car from your surplus. Fitted in a morning by our own electricians, from £950.

From £950 fitted for a 7kW charger within ten metres of the consumer unit; £1,150 with a solar-surplus mode.

No. 05

Servicing and repairs

An annual service for heat pumps (required by most warranties), a solar health check with a panel clean and an inverter test, inverter replacements when the old one dies after ten years, and repairs to systems other installers fitted and walked away from. Heat pump service £165.

Heat pump annual service £165; solar health check £145; an inverter replaced from £1,100; a call-out and first hour £95.

No. 06

Commercial roofs

Solar on farm buildings, workshops, industrial units, schools and church halls, from 10 to 250kW, designed around your daytime use and the network operator's export limit, with batteries where they pay. A structural check, a G99 application and an install that keeps the business running.

Priced per project after a site visit; typically £850 to £1,100 per kW installed, depending on size and roof.

From first call to switch-on

Four steps.

  1. The estimate

The savings page or the heat pump sizer gives a first idea, with every assumption shown. It is an estimate, not a quote.

  2. The survey

An hour on your roof and in your loft, or every room for a heat pump. Free within thirty miles of Pyle.

  3. The design and price

A written design, the expected generation or heat output, and a fixed price that does not change unless the job does.

  4. Fitted and registered

Our own engineers fit it; we notify the network operator, register with MCS and handle the export tariff or the grant.

Batteries

Use your own sunshine after dark.

Without a battery a typical home uses about a third of its solar and exports the rest for about 15p a unit. A battery roughly doubles the share you use yourself, so the afternoon surplus runs the evening instead of being sold cheap. The savings estimate shows both, side by side.
