Savings estimate

An estimate
4,700kWh a year from 12 panels, south
£900a year, on our assumptions

With a £90 monthly bill and no battery, at a 27p unit price and 15p export. Not a promise: the survey gives the design.

MCS certified, our own engineersEvery solar, battery and heat pump installation is designed and fitted by our own MCS-certified team, so it qualifies for export payments and the Boiler Upgrade Scheme. No subcontractors on your roof.
Estimates with the sums shownThe savings estimate prints every assumption next to the answer: the unit price, the export rate, the yield for your roof. It is an estimate, not a promise; the survey replaces it with a design.
A fixed quote after a surveyA free survey on your roof and in your loft, then a written fixed price with the panel layout, the expected generation and the warranty. It does not change unless the job does.
Ten-year workmanship warrantyInsurance-backed, on top of the manufacturers' panel and battery warranties, through our consumer code membership. If we cease trading, the warranty does not.

No. 01

Solar panels

Solar panels designed for your roof after a free survey, fitted by our own MCS-certified roofers and electricians, with the inverter, the isolators, the DNO notification and the export registration done for you. A ten-panel system is about £6,000 installed; the savings estimate shows what it might produce.

About £6,000 for ten 435W panels (4.

No. 02

Home batteries

A battery stores the solar you would otherwise export for 15p and lets you use it in the evening instead of buying at the full unit rate, or charges overnight on a cheap tariff. 5 to 15kWh, wall-mounted in a garage, utility room or loft. About £4,800 for 10kWh fitted with solar.

About £4,800 for a 10kWh battery fitted with new solar, or £5,400 added to an existing system.

No. 03

Air source heat pumps

Air source heat pumps sized from a room-by-room heat-loss calculation, fitted with a new hot water cylinder and the radiators that need changing, by our own heat pump engineers. We apply for the Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant on your behalf and take it off the price. The sizer gives a first idea by bedrooms.

Typically £9,800 to £14,000 installed before the grant, depending on size and radiators.

No. 04

EV chargers

7kW home chargers fitted on the wall by the drive, tethered or untethered, with load management so the house fuse never trips and a solar mode that charges the car from your surplus. Fitted in a morning by our own electricians, from £950.

From £950 fitted for a 7kW charger within ten metres of the consumer unit; £1,150 with a solar-surplus mode.

No. 05

Servicing and repairs

An annual service for heat pumps (required by most warranties), a solar health check with a panel clean and an inverter test, inverter replacements when the old one dies after ten years, and repairs to systems other installers fitted and walked away from. Heat pump service £165.

Heat pump annual service £165; solar health check £145; an inverter replaced from £1,100; a call-out and first hour £95.

No. 06

Commercial roofs

Solar on farm buildings, workshops, industrial units, schools and church halls, from 10 to 250kW, designed around your daytime use and the network operator's export limit, with batteries where they pay. A structural check, a G99 application and an install that keeps the business running.

Priced per project after a site visit; typically £850 to £1,100 per kW installed, depending on size and roof.

How we work

Four things true of every job.

No figure we cannot show

We never quote a payback without the assumptions that make it. Electricity prices move; we show you what we assumed so you can change it in your head, and we would rather under-promise.

Told when it is not worth it

A north roof, heavy shade, a house that loses heat through single glazing: some homes are not good candidates, and we say so on the survey rather than selling a system that disappoints.

One team from survey to switch-on

The surveyor designs it, our electricians and roofers fit it, and the same office handles the DNO paperwork, the MCS certificate and the grant. You have one phone number throughout.

Back when something goes wrong

Existing customers have a breakdown line seven days a week. Most inverter and heat pump faults are diagnosed remotely the same day, and an engineer is with you within two working days if not.

  • 1,840systems installed across Bridgend county, the Vale and Swansea Bay since 2014
  • 9engineers on our own payroll: electricians, roofers and heat pump installers, no subcontractors
  • 10 yearsworkmanship warranty on every installation, insured so it survives us
  • 4.9average rating from customers

Heat pumps

Sized room by room, grant applied for you.

A heat pump sized by guesswork is either cold or wasteful, so ours start with a heat-loss survey of every room. The Boiler Upgrade Scheme grant (published by Ofgem as £7,500 at the time of writing) is applied for by us and comes off the price. The sizer gives a first idea from your bedrooms and insulation.

The survey

An hour on your roof, then a fixed price.

Sara or Rhodri measures the roof, checks the rafters and the shade through the year, looks at the consumer unit and where the inverter can go, and asks how you use electricity. You get a written design with the panel layout, the expected generation under the MCS method, and a price that does not change unless the job does.

Solar and battery, Porthcawl

The surveyor told us the back roof was not worth panelling and put twelve on the front instead, which cost us less than the other quote. The estimate said about 4,700 units; the first full year did 4,610. Scaffold up Monday, generating Tuesday afternoon.

Gwyn and Mair
Air source heat pump, Pyle

They measured every room, changed three radiators and left the rest. The grant came straight off the invoice; we never saw a form. Our first winter the house was warmer than with the old gas boiler, at a lower flow temperature than I thought possible.

Lisa
Dairy farm, commercial roof

Ninety kilowatts on the parlour and the cubicle shed. They got the G99 through, put a structural engineer on the old purlins, and fitted it around milking without once getting in the way. The milk cooling runs on it most of the summer.

Questions people ask

How much do solar panels cost?

About £5,160 for eight panels, £6,840 for twelve and £11,640 for twelve with a 10kWh battery, on a straightforward roof with scaffold and inverter included, and 0% VAT on homes until 31 March 2027. The survey gives a fixed price.

How much will I save?

Our savings page gives an estimate from your bill and your roof and shows every assumption beside it. It is an estimate, not a promise: electricity prices and your use will change it.

Do I get a grant for a heat pump?

Usually, through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme in England and Wales. At the time of writing Ofgem publishes it as £7,500 for an air source heat pump. We apply for you and take it off the price; the heat pump page explains who qualifies.

Are you MCS certified?

Yes, for solar, batteries and heat pumps, and every installation is designed and fitted by our own engineers. MCS certification is what makes you eligible for export payments and the heat pump grant.

Is the survey free?

Yes, within thirty miles of Pyle, and there is no obligation. You get a written design and a fixed price.
