The labour price for the twelve jobs that make up most of the bench, the part quoted before we order it, and the date a machine booked in now should be ready. Ninety days' warranty on the labour.

Twelve jobs, fixed labour.
Labour prices include VAT for home customers. Parts are quoted after diagnosis and nothing is ordered until you say yes.
Booked in today, a two-day repair is ready by Tuesday 27 October.

Data copied
Your files copied to an encrypted drive before anything is opened, unless you tick the box asking us not to.
A price, then a yes
Diagnosed within a working day. We ring with one fixed price including the part and wait for your yes.
Ready, with a note
A text when it is ready, a note of what we found and did, and the copy of your data deleted when you collect.
Worth fixing?
We will tell you when it is not.
A laptop more than six years old with a failed motherboard is rarely worth the repair, and a cracked screen on a £200 laptop can cost half its value. When that is the answer, you pay the £25 diagnosis only, and we can move your files to whatever you buy next for the £49 setup price.

Questions about repairs
Do I need to book, or can I just bring it in?
Just bring it in during counter hours: weekdays 9am to 5.30pm and Saturday 9am to 1pm. Booking online saves five minutes at the counter because the ticket is already written.
Are the prices with VAT?
For home customers, yes: the labour prices on this page include VAT. Businesses get the same price excluding VAT on the invoice.
What if the part costs more than you said?
It cannot: the price we ring you with includes the part, and if the supplier's price changes before we order it, we ring again before doing anything.
Can you get my files off a laptop that will not start?
Usually, if the drive itself is working: £49 to copy them to a USB drive or your new machine. A drive that clicks or is not detected is quoted after diagnosis and may need a specialist lab, which we arrange and tell you the price of first.
Do you sell refurbished laptops?
A few, business models we have refurbished ourselves with a new SSD and a year's warranty, usually £220 to £380. Ask at the counter; the stock changes weekly.
What about phones and tablets?
We set them up with email and move data, but we do not repair phone screens. Two shops on the High Street do, and we are happy to tell you which.
