Local and on siteWe are on Castle Street, ten minutes from most of our clients. If remote help cannot fix it, someone is at your desk the same day on Business and Business Plus.

Services

Six things we do, all of them local.

All six

01

Business IT support

A monthly plan for offices, shops, surgeries and trades of three to fifty people: a helpdesk that answers, patching and antivirus on every machine, Microsoft 365 looked after, on-site visits when remote will not do, and a monthly report of what we did.

From £22 a user a month on Essentials, £34 on Business, £46 on Business Plus, billed for at least three users, excluding VAT.

02

PC and laptop repairs

Laptop and desktop repairs at the counter on Castle Street: screens, keyboards, batteries, charging ports, slow machines, viruses and failed drives, with a £25 diagnosis waived if you go ahead and a fixed labour price for the common jobs.

Diagnosis £25, waived if the repair goes ahead.

03

Microsoft 365 and email

Microsoft 365 set up properly or moved from old email: your domain, mailboxes, shared calendars, Teams and OneDrive, with multi-factor sign-in on every account and the settings that stop most email takeovers. Licences passed through at what we pay.

Moving a small office of up to ten mailboxes to Microsoft 365 from £45 a mailbox.

04

Backups and Cyber Essentials

Backups that are checked every morning and restored for real once a quarter, and Cyber Essentials, the government-backed certificate many contracts and insurers now ask for: we get you ready, fix what fails, and submit it with you.

Microsoft 365 backup £4 a user a month, included on Business Plus.

05

Networks and Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi that works in every room, a firewall that is patched, cabling that is labelled and a comms cupboard you can open without fear: surveys, access points, routers, switches and guest networks for offices, shops, surgeries and pubs.

A Wi-Fi survey £120, credited against the install.

06

New PCs set up

New laptops and desktops chosen for the job, set up with your accounts, printers and software, files moved from the old machine, and the old one wiped to a standard and recycled or handed back. Business-grade machines, not the cheapest in the shop.

Setup with files moved from the old machine £49.

Monthly plans

The repair bench

Four promises

What you can hold us to.

You hear back in the hour

Every request gets a human reply within the response time on your plan, with a name and a plan. Business Plus is one working hour, Business two, Essentials four.

Quoted before we touch it

A repair is diagnosed for £25, waived if you go ahead, and the price is agreed before any part is ordered. If it is not worth fixing, we say so.

Your data stays yours

We back it up before we work on it, we never keep copies afterwards, and failed drives are wiped or handed back, never binned.

Written down when it is done

Every job ends with a note of what we found, what we did and what to watch. Plan clients get a monthly report of every ticket, patch and backup.

  • 16years on Castle Street
  • 41businesses on a monthly plan
  • 23 minaverage first reply on the desk last quarter
  • 1,900+laptops and PCs through the bench a year

Home visits from £60

At home

Half the bench is home computers. We are just as glad to see them.

A new laptop set up with your email and photos moved across, a printer that will not talk to the Wi-Fi, a grandchild's old PC that needs wiping before it is passed on, or a pop-up that says your computer is infected and asks for your card: bring it in, or Rhys or Owain will come to you in Merthyr for £60 the first hour.

  • We never ask for payment details over the phone after a pop-up. If anyone does, it is a scam.
  • Old machines wiped with a certificate before they are passed on
  • Explained in plain words, written down before we leave

Business Plus

We moved to Reboot after a locum's email account was taken over and sent invoices to half our patients. Rhys had multi-factor sign-in on every account by the Friday and has watched it since. The quarterly restore test is the first time anyone has proved our backup works.

Eleven of us, half on site, and the Wi-Fi in the workshop used to drop every time the extractor came on. Owain surveyed it, ran a cable to the far end of the unit and put in two access points. Not a dropped call since, and the price was the price.

Repair

My laptop took about ten minutes to start and I was ready to buy a new one. Ceri put a new drive in for £79, kept all my photos, and it now starts before the kettle has boiled. She told me straight away it was not worth replacing.

Questions people ask at the counter

Do you only work with businesses?

No. The repair counter is open to everyone, and about half the bench work is home laptops and PCs. Home visits in Merthyr are £60 for the first hour. The monthly plans are for businesses, charities and practices of three or more people.

How quickly will someone help?

In desk hours, a person replies within your plan's response time: one working hour on Business Plus, two on Business, four on Essentials. Last quarter the average first reply was twenty-three minutes. Without a plan, we help as soon as a technician is free, usually the same day.

What does a plan cost for my office?

It depends on people and devices. Essentials is £22 a user a month, Business £34 and Business Plus £46, billed for at least three users, plus £5 a month for each device beyond one and a half per user. The plan picker on the plans page does the sum for you.

Will you fix it if it is cheaper to replace?

We will tell you it is cheaper to replace. The diagnosis is £25, waived if you go ahead, and the price includes the part before we do anything. If a six-year-old laptop needs a new board, we say so and can move your files to the next one.

Can you take over from our current IT company?

Yes, and we do it politely. We ask the current provider for passwords, licences and a handover, check what we receive against what is actually there, and run both side by side for a fortnight if you want. You will get a written record of your setup at the end of the first month.

Where can I park?

Pay-and-display on Glebeland Street, two minutes' walk, or the short-stay bays on Castle Street for dropping off a machine. The bus station on Swan Street is five minutes away, and the railway station about eight.

Ring the desk, or bring it in.

A person answers 01685 496 0880 from eight till six on weekdays. For a repair, bring the machine to the counter on Castle Street; for a plan, book a free IT review and Rhys will come and look at what you have.
