Pre-paid funeral plans
A plan fixes what you want and pays for our part of it at today's price. Regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority since 2022, the money held in a trust we cannot touch, and a guarantee that our charges are covered in full whenever the plan is needed.

A plan is mostly a kindness to the people left behind: the decisions already made, the money already paid, and a number to ring that answers. We sell plans only to people who ask for them, and we will tell you plainly when one is not the right thing, which is more often than you might think.
Catrin arranges plans at your home or in our rooms, and the conversation is the same one we have with a family: what you want, who should lead it, where, what is to happen to the ashes or where the grave is to be. The plan covers our charges in full and includes an allowance towards the third-party fees (the crematorium, the minister), which is the part no plan can fix because those fees are set by others. We say that clearly rather than let you find it out later.
The money goes into an independent trust under the Financial Conduct Authority's rules; we do not hold it, and if we ceased trading the plan would be honoured by another provider. You can pay in one sum, or monthly over one to five years. If you move away, the plan transfers. If you change your mind within thirty days you get all of it back, and after that all of it less a fixed administration fee. We also keep the plan on file here with your wishes written out in full, so whoever rings does not have to guess.

Questions about funeral plans
Is a plan better than putting money aside?
Not always. If you have savings and a family who will know what to do, an over-fifties insurance policy or a plan may cost more than it saves. A plan is worth it when you want the decisions fixed, or when there is no one to make them. We will say which we think applies to you.
What if I die away from home?
The plan covers bringing you back from anywhere in mainland Britain. Abroad is a matter for travel insurance, which we would tell you to check.
If you need us, ring. Any hour, one of us answers.
For a death that has just happened, the number below rings Eleri, Catrin or Huw day or night, and we can be with you within the hour. For anything that can wait, the form on the contact page is answered the same working day, and plans, prices and what to do first each have their own page.
