Mam died at home at two in the morning and Eleri answered the phone herself. Huw was with us by three, no rush, and he spoke to her as he took her out, which I will not forget. The estimate was what the bill was. I had braced for it being more, because everyone says it is.
Reviews
What families say, afterwards.
Six reviews, one for each thing we do, including the four-star one about the service sheets. Reviews are collected by an independent platform a month after the funeral, and we do not ask anyone to write one.

Dad wanted no fuss and we did the unattended cremation. £1,890, exactly as the website said, and Catrin let us sit with him in the chapel the evening before. We scattered him at Pembrey in May with sixty people and a brass band, which is what he actually wanted, and Morgans told us who to ask about the beach.
I took out a plan after my sister's funeral, which they had done. Catrin came to the house, told me the crematorium fee was not something any plan could fix and showed me the allowance in pounds, and said if my children were likely to cope I might not need one. I took it anyway, for the children, and it is in the drawer.
Our daughter. There is nothing to say about that except that Eleri did not charge us, which she did not announce and we found out from the account, and she rang at six weeks, and at six months, and on the anniversary. The willow coffin was the right thing. The bereavement group on Tuesdays kept us upright.
Honest, kind and the price list on the website is real, which I checked against two others. Four stars because the service sheets came back with a typo in the hymn and had to be reprinted the morning of; they were, free and in time, and Catrin apologised properly, but it was a tense hour.
Dad's ashes sat with them for fourteen months while we argued about what to do, and nobody chased us once. In the end we buried them in Mam's grave and Gareth the stonemason added the inscription. Morgans took no cut from him and said so, which I had not expected anyone to mention.
About the four stars
The hymn was misprinted. The sheets are proofed twice now, and by the family.
Mike's father's service sheet went to the printer with a line of "Calon Lân" wrong. Catrin caught it at seven on the morning of the funeral, reprinted fifty copies here and had them at the chapel by nine, but the family had an hour of worry they should not have had. Since then every sheet is proofed by Catrin, then by Eleri, then sent to the family as a PDF to read on their phone before anything is printed. Mike was right to say so, and we would rather you read it here than find out for yourself.

If we looked after someone of yours, tell the next family.
