Family bathroom, Taffs Well
A pink 1980s bathroom stripped to the joists and refitted with a walk-in shower, a wall-hung basin and large-format tiles in two and a half weeks.

The job
The pink suite had lasted forty years and the floor underneath it had not. We found two rotten joist ends when the bath came out, replaced them, and tanked the whole room before the tiling started.
A walk-in shower replaced the bath, with a linear drain and a fixed glass screen; a wall-hung basin and concealed cistern keep the floor clear. Large-format porcelain on the walls and floor, a heated towel rail and an extractor on a humidistat.
