What we collect, why, who sees it and how long we keep it.
What we collect
When you book a site visit, ask for a quote or become a client we collect what you give us: name, contact details, the property address and details of the project, and, for clients, the contract, drawings, photographs of the work and payment records. We record the IP address a form was sent from to deal with spam. This website sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. The map on the contact page is loaded from Google when you scroll to it.
Why we use it
- To arrange the visit, prepare drawings and a price, and carry out the contract (the steps you ask us to take, then our contract with you).
- To make planning, building regulations and warranty applications on your behalf, which means sharing the property address and drawings with the council, building control and the warranty provider (your instruction).
- To keep records of work done for our guarantee, the structural warranty, our insurers and HMRC (legal obligation).
Photographs of finished work appear on this website only with your permission and never with your name or full address. No marketing you have not asked for; we never sell your details.
Who sees it
The three of us and our site team, our accountant, the architect and structural engineer working on your project, the local authority and building control, the warranty provider, and our email and accounting software providers, which store data in the UK or EU.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted after twelve months. Contracts, drawings and records of completed work are kept for twelve years, which covers the structural warranty, our guarantee and the limitation period for construction contracts.
Your rights
