Personal training for weight loss
Strength training at your size and fitness today, built up week by week, with one food habit agreed at the end of every session.

One-to-one in the studio, an hour or thirty minutes, strength first, from £25
Most people who come to us for weight loss have tried a diet, lost some weight, and watched it come back. What tends to keep it off is muscle, movement you enjoy and a handful of eating habits, so that is what a session builds.
A session starts with ten minutes of warming up and catching up: how the week went, how you slept, what you ate that you were pleased with. Then forty minutes of strength work, squats, presses, rows, carries and step-ups, at a level that is hard but never punishing, and ten minutes at the end on one habit for the coming week.
Everything is adjusted to the body you have now. Knees that do not like deep squats get a box to sit back to; a sore shoulder gets a different press; someone who has not exercised for twenty years starts with sit-to-stands from a chair and is surprised how quickly that changes. We write every session down and you get a copy, so you can see what you lifted in week one and what you lift in week twelve.
Bethan and Siân are Level 3 personal trainers with an obesity and diabetes qualification (the certificates on this demonstration site are placeholders). If you have a health condition, a recent operation or take medication that affects exercise, we ask you to check with your GP before we start and we work to what they say.

Questions about one-to-one training
How often should I come?
Twice a week is ideal at the start; once a week works if you do the home routine. After three months many people drop to once a fortnight and join the group.
Will I have to get weighed?
Only if you want to. We can track your waist, how clothes fit, your strength or just the habits. You choose, and you can change your mind.
I have not exercised for years. Is that all right?
It is the most common start we see. The first session is gentle and mostly about finding a level; nobody is pushed to exhaustion here.
Start with a free thirty-minute chat.
In the studio or on the phone, no weighing and no hard sell: what you want, what has and has not worked before, and which of our services, if any, would suit you. Bethan or Rhys replies within a working day.
