Nutrition habit coaching

How you eat, not a meal plan: one habit at a time, a call every fortnight and messages between. A coach, not a dietitian.

A coach and a man in his fifties at a small round table with two mugs of tea and a bowl of fruit, going through a paper food diary together

A thirty-minute call every fortnight, messages between, £60 a month, no meal plans

Meal plans fail because life does not follow them. Habit coaching starts with a week of what you actually eat, written down without judgement, and picks one change that would make the biggest difference for the least effort.

The first call is an hour: your week of eating, your work and family timetable, what you like, what you cannot stand, and what has gone wrong before. From that we agree the first habit, usually something small enough to feel almost too easy: a protein breakfast, a glass of water before each meal, vegetables at lunch as well as dinner, or a plan for the drive home past the chip shop.

Every fortnight there is a thirty-minute call or a visit to the studio to look at how the habit went and decide whether to keep going, adjust it or add the next one. Between calls you can message Rhys with a photo of a menu, a question about a food label or a bad day, and he replies within a working day.

Rhys holds a Level 4 nutrition coaching certificate (a placeholder on this demonstration site). He is not a registered dietitian and does not diagnose or treat medical conditions. If you have diabetes, kidney or liver disease, an eating disorder now or in the past, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are under the care of a specialist, he will ask you to speak to your GP or a registered dietitian first, and will happily work alongside them.

Questions about nutrition habits

Will you give me a calorie target?

Only if you want one. The energy estimate on this site gives a range with every assumption shown, and we talk about it rather than prescribe it. Many clients never count anything.

Do I have to give anything up?

No. Nothing is banned. We look at how often and how much, and at swaps you would actually enjoy.

What if I have a medical condition?

Tell us at the first chat. For some conditions we need your GP or a registered dietitian to lead, and Rhys works to their advice.

Start with a free thirty-minute chat.

In the studio or on the phone, no weighing and no hard sell: what you want, what has and has not worked before, and which of our services, if any, would suit you. Bethan or Rhys replies within a working day.
