One-to-one training

I came in expecting to be shouted at and spent the first session doing sit-to-stands from a chair. Eight months later I carry the shopping up our hill without stopping, I have joined the Tuesday group, and Bethan still writes every session down so I can see how far I have come.

Nutrition habit coaching

Rhys never once told me what I could not eat. We fixed breakfast, then lunches at work, then the 10pm crisps, one at a time over five months. My clothes fit differently and, more to the point, I do not think about food all day any more.

Lighter Together

The fifteen minutes with a cup of tea at the end is the bit I would miss. Six of us, all ages, all sizes, laughing at the same burpee alternative. I have not missed a Thursday since March.

Walking to running

Brilliant course and the coach at the back made all the difference. Four stars only because the Tuesday sessions in late October were properly dark on the towpath; they have since moved them onto the lit stretch, which they told me when they replied to this review.

Meal-prep workshop

Went for the lunches under £2 workshop as a non-client. Came home with four lunches, a tray of egg muffins and a shopping list I have used every week since. Cheaper than the meal deals and far nicer.

Online check-ins

I work shifts at the hospital and could never make the group. The Sunday form takes two minutes and the reply on Tuesday is always kind and always specific. It is the cheapest thing that has ever kept me going.

About the four stars

Dark towpaths in October. We moved.

Dafydd was right. The stretch of towpath we used past Five Locks has no lighting, and by late October the Tuesday sessions finished in the dark. We now use the lit section between the bridge and the town centre from the clocks going back until March, and every runner gets a clip-on light in week one.
