Locked out with a toddler asleep inside. Rang at 11:04, Gareth was there at 11:31 with a text on the way with his photo, had the door open in four minutes without a mark on the lock, and charged £99, which is what the woman on the phone had said. I had been quoted "from £59" by a national number that turned out to be a man in a Corsa.

New house, wanted every lock changed. Ffion came in the two-hour slot, did three cylinders keyed alike and a mortice on the back door, explained the 3-star thing without any pressure, hoovered the swarf and put the grades on the invoice for the insurer. £425 all in, as quoted.
The door I had been lifting to lock for two years. Twenty-five minutes with an Allen key and some grease, £55, and it closes like new. The double-glazing man had quoted me £1,400 for a new door.
Kicked-in back door at half past two in the morning. Gareth had it secure by four with a steel strike box and a new lock, boarded the window, wrote the report for the insurer, and came back on the Thursday to do the walk-round. He found the side gate we never lock. Decent man on a bad night.
We put two hundred doors on account with Keystone this year and the changeovers are quick, cheap and tidy, with keys back to the office the same day. Four stars because the online key register they promised in the spring is still a spreadsheet, and we were told it would be a portal. The locksmithing is faultless.
Lost the only key to a 2017 Focus. The dealer wanted £310 and a tow. Ffion came to the drive, had a new key cut and programmed in forty minutes, £180, and checked my V5 first, which I was glad of.
About the four stars
We promised a key-register portal in the spring and delivered a spreadsheet. The portal went live in September.
Claire's agency manages two hundred doors with us and was told in March that the online key register was weeks away. It was not; the developer we had hired disappeared and we kept the register in a spreadsheet, which worked but was not what we had said. The portal is now live, every account customer has a login, and we no longer announce dates for things that are not finished. Claire has it and says it is good, which is what matters.
