Downlights, garden lighting, extra sockets, showers, cookers
Lighting, sockets and power
The everyday jobs: more sockets where you need them, downlights that do not fry the loft insulation, garden lighting on a timer, cooker and shower circuits.

Most of what we do is small: a socket behind the television, a light in the garden, a cooker circuit for the new kitchen. Small does not mean casual; every one is tested and certified.
Sockets, USB sockets, switches, dimmers and outdoor sockets. LED downlights that are fire-rated and insulation-safe, with the right number and spacing for the room rather than a grid for the sake of it. Pendant drops, under-cabinet lighting, bathroom lighting at the correct zones. Garden lighting on timers or sensors with armoured cable buried properly.
New circuits for electric showers, cookers, hobs and heat pumps, with the consumer unit checked to make sure it can take them. Smart lighting and smart switches where you want them, with the hubs set up before we leave.

Questions about lighting & power
How many downlights do I need?
Usually fewer than you think. A rule of thumb is one per 1.2 to 1.5 square metres for a kitchen, fewer in a living room with lamps. We lay it out on the ceiling with you before drilling.
