With Helen, face to face

Wrinkle consultations

A proper conversation about lines and what bothers you, with a nurse prescriber who may suggest treatment, something else, or nothing at all.

A nurse in a charcoal tunic talking with a woman in her fifties, both seated in a quiet room

Lines are not a medical problem, so nothing about this should feel urgent. You come in, we talk about what you see in the mirror, and Helen takes a full medical history.

Some treatments for lines are prescription-only medicines. That means we cannot discuss them on a website as if they were on a menu, and it means the decision belongs to a prescriber who has met you. Helen will tell you face to face what she thinks is suitable, what the alternatives are, including doing nothing, and what could go wrong.

If a prescription is appropriate, it is written for you personally after that assessment, and you go home with the information first. You come back at least seven days later if you still want to go ahead. Most lines respond better to sunscreen than anyone wants to hear, and she will say that too.

What is included

  • Forty-five minutes with an independent nurse prescriber
  • A full medical history and a look at your skin in daylight
  • A written plan, or a written reason why not
  • A seven-day cooling-off period before anything happens

What it costs

A wrinkle consultation is £60 for forty-five minutes. If anything is prescribed, the prescriber gives you a written plan with its cost to take home. There are no packages or offers. You pay for the consultation you had, and nothing more unless you decide to go ahead.

Questions about wrinkle consultations

Can I have treatment the same day?

No. A first visit is only ever a conversation, however far you have travelled.

Why does the website not say more about treatments?

Because UK rules do not allow prescription-only medicines to be advertised to the public, and we agree with them. Everything you need will be explained in the room.

How will I look afterwards?

We cannot promise that, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Helen will talk through what is realistic for your face, including what might disappoint you.
