Hydration, under the skin
Skin boosters
Small injections of hyaluronic acid into the skin, not to change your shape but to help it hold water. Assessed first and not for everyone.

Boosters are for skin that feels dry and tired, and some people find it looks fresher for some months. It will not lift anything and it will not do what filler does.
We start with an assessment, because much dull skin needs sunscreen, sleep or a change of cleanser, and those are cheaper. If you go ahead, the skin is numbed and Helen makes a series of tiny injections. You will have small bumps for a day and possibly some bruising for a week.
How much difference you see varies from person to person and the evidence is limited, mostly small studies. We would rather you knew that before spending the money.
What is included
- A skin assessment before any decision
- Numbing cream
- Two sessions four weeks apart
- A review at six weeks with Helen
What it costs
A skin assessment is £40. If it is right for you, a course of two sessions is £320, four weeks apart. There are no packages or offers. You pay for the consultation you had, and nothing more unless you decide to go ahead.
Questions about skin boosters
Does it hurt?
It stings a little, even with numbing cream. Most people find it easy to put up with, but some do not, and you can stop at any time.
How long does it last?
Often a few months, but that varies. If somebody gives you an exact number, ask them how they know.
Start with a conversation.
Forty-five minutes in a quiet room. Nothing is done on the day, and you can leave having decided against everything.
