Three hours out of the city, Wednesdays and Fridays
Adventure mornings
A three-hour morning in the van and on the hills: the Garth, Castell Coch woods, Forest Farm or the beach at Ogmore in winter, with three other dogs who are fit enough for it. Home muddy, towelled and asleep by two. £38.

Some dogs need more than an hour in the park. The adventure morning is for the collies, the spaniels, the young labradors and the lurchers: collected at nine, out of the city by half past, three hours on a hill or a beach, and home by one with nothing left in them.
Wednesdays go north, to the Garth, Castell Coch woods or Fforest Fawr. Fridays go west, to Forest Farm along the canal or, from October to April when dogs are allowed, the beach at Ogmore. Four dogs, all with a recall we trust, all fit for three hours. Water and a rest stop halfway, a towel and a check for ticks before they go back in the van.
It is not for every dog. An old dog, a nervous dog or a dog that cannot be let off should have a solo walk instead, and we will say so. The dogs who do it come back every week and the owners tell us Thursday is the quietest day of the week.

Questions about adventures
Is my dog fit enough?
If it does an hour in the park and wants more, probably. We take a dog on one adventure as a trial and tell you honestly how it coped.
What about the beach in summer?
Dogs are not allowed on the main beach at Ogmore from May to September, so summer Fridays are Forest Farm and the river. Ogmore comes back in October.
