Services

Six things, all inside the package.

We do not do audits, corporate finance or the FTSE. We do the accounts, tax, bookkeeping and payroll of about four hundred and eighty small businesses and landlords in and around Bridgend, at a fixed monthly fee, with the planning built in rather than sold separately. Each has its own page with what happens and what it costs.

All six

01

Sole traders and landlords

For the self-employed, the one-van trade, the freelancer and the landlord with one to four properties: the software, the quarterly Making Tax Digital submissions, the self assessment return, a tax estimate twice a year and a person to ring, for £45 a month plus VAT.

£45 a month plus VAT, everything in.

02

Limited companies

For a limited company with one or two directors: the statutory accounts and corporation tax return, the confirmation statement, the directors' self assessment returns, dividend paperwork, a salary-and-dividend plan reviewed each spring, the software, and a person to ring, for £125 a month plus VAT.

£125 a month plus VAT, everything in, with payroll at £6 per employee a month on top.

03

VAT and Making Tax Digital

VAT registration, the scheme that suits you (standard, flat rate, cash accounting), the quarterly returns reviewed and filed under Making Tax Digital, and the software that keeps the digital links HMRC now requires. For sole traders, the MTD income tax quarters are in the £45 package; this page is for VAT.

£195 a month plus VAT for a VAT-registered limited company, everything in the Ltd package plus VAT.

04

Bookkeeping done for you

For anyone who would rather not touch the software: send us the receipts by photo or post, give us read-only access to the bank feed, and Wendy keeps the books each week, reconciles the bank, chases your unpaid invoices if you want, and sends a one-page monthly summary of where the business stands.

£60 a month plus VAT on top of any package for up to 80 transactions a month; £95 for up to 200; quoted above that.

05

Payroll and CIS

Monthly or weekly payroll with payslips in the portal, RTI filed with HMRC, auto-enrolment pensions assessed and submitted, P60s and P45s, statutory pay worked out, and Construction Industry Scheme returns for contractors, with subcontractors verified and statements sent.

Payroll £6 per employee per month plus VAT, minimum £18.

06

Tax planning and year end

Not a separate service and not an hourly one: every package includes a review each spring of how you pay yourself, a call in July and January to say what the tax bill will be, a year-end meeting with the accounts in front of us, and an honest answer to "should I buy the van before April".

Included in every package.

Regulated

Chartered certified, and why that is worth checking.

Anyone can call themselves an accountant; the word is not protected. Nia is a chartered certified accountant and the practice holds an ACCA firm registration, which means professional indemnity insurance, continuing training, a complaints route, inspection of how we hold client data and money, and anti-money-laundering supervision by the ACCA rather than a default registration with HMRC. It also means that when we sign a reference for your mortgage, the lender accepts it. The software firms with a helpline and the "tax return in minutes" apps have none of that behind them, and the difference shows up the first time HMRC writes to you.

Pick a package, or ask which one fits.

Sole trader or landlord £45 a month, limited company £125, VAT-registered £195, all plus VAT, everything in. Tell us what the business is and where you are with it and one of the three of us rings back the same working day with a straight answer, including which package you do not need.
