What we do

Six things, all inside the package.

All six

01

Sole traders and landlords

For the self-employed, the one-van trade, the freelancer and the landlord with one to four properties: the software, the quarterly Making Tax Digital submissions, the self assessment return, a tax estimate twice a year and a person to ring, for £45 a month plus VAT.

£45 a month plus VAT, everything in.

02

Limited companies

For a limited company with one or two directors: the statutory accounts and corporation tax return, the confirmation statement, the directors' self assessment returns, dividend paperwork, a salary-and-dividend plan reviewed each spring, the software, and a person to ring, for £125 a month plus VAT.

£125 a month plus VAT, everything in, with payroll at £6 per employee a month on top.

03

VAT and Making Tax Digital

VAT registration, the scheme that suits you (standard, flat rate, cash accounting), the quarterly returns reviewed and filed under Making Tax Digital, and the software that keeps the digital links HMRC now requires. For sole traders, the MTD income tax quarters are in the £45 package; this page is for VAT.

£195 a month plus VAT for a VAT-registered limited company, everything in the Ltd package plus VAT.

04

Bookkeeping done for you

For anyone who would rather not touch the software: send us the receipts by photo or post, give us read-only access to the bank feed, and Wendy keeps the books each week, reconciles the bank, chases your unpaid invoices if you want, and sends a one-page monthly summary of where the business stands.

£60 a month plus VAT on top of any package for up to 80 transactions a month; £95 for up to 200; quoted above that.

05

Payroll and CIS

Monthly or weekly payroll with payslips in the portal, RTI filed with HMRC, auto-enrolment pensions assessed and submitted, P60s and P45s, statutory pay worked out, and Construction Industry Scheme returns for contractors, with subcontractors verified and statements sent.

Payroll £6 per employee per month plus VAT, minimum £18.

06

Tax planning and year end

Not a separate service and not an hourly one: every package includes a review each spring of how you pay yourself, a call in July and January to say what the tax bill will be, a year-end meeting with the accounts in front of us, and an honest answer to "should I buy the van before April".

Included in every package.

Packages

Three packages, priced on the website, with everything in.

£45 a month for a sole trader or landlord: the software, the Making Tax Digital quarters, the self assessment return, the July and January calls. £125 for a limited company: all that plus the statutory accounts, corporation tax, the confirmation statement, the directors' returns and the spring salary plan. £195 if the company is VAT-registered. Payroll and done-for-you bookkeeping are the only add-ons, and they are priced too.

  • Software paid for and set up, bank feeds connected
  • Unlimited phone and portal questions, no "ad hoc advice" line
  • Switching from your old accountant handled, free

How we work

Four things you can hold us to.

The package is the price

Sole trader £45 a month, limited company £125, VAT-registered £195, plus VAT. Payroll and done-for-you bookkeeping are the only add-ons, priced on the website. No hourly rates, no charge for a phone call, no "ad hoc advice" line.

A person who knows your file

Each client has one of the three of us as their accountant, with a direct line and the portal for anything that can wait. Calls answered 9 to 5:30; emails and portal messages answered the same working day.

Six weeks before every deadline

The portal shows every date that applies to you and turns amber six weeks out. We ask for what we need then, not the week before, and we file the day you approve it.

Tax we can see coming

Your package includes a January and a July call to say what the tax bill will be and to set aside for it. Nobody on a package should ever be surprised by HMRC.

Making Tax Digital

Quarterly digital reporting starts in April 2026. We have already set it up for every client.

Sole traders and landlords with income over £50,000 send HMRC a quarterly update from their software from April 2026; over £30,000 from 2027; over £20,000 from 2028. It is not a quarterly tax return, and it is not hard once the bank feed is doing the typing. Tom put every client on compliant software before it was compulsory, shows you the one weekly habit, and files the quarters from the £45 package.

  • Who it applies to and from when, on one page
  • FreeAgent or Xero, paid for in the package
  • The quarters reviewed by us and filed on your approval

Sole trader

Café, sole trader, seven years of January panic. On the £45 package the return took me twenty minutes in April because the app had the receipts already. Tom rang in July to say what the payment on account would be, which nobody had done before, and the money was there.

Bethan R.Bridgend
Limited company

Joinery company, two directors. Switched in 2023 and Nia found the previous accountant had never claimed the employment allowance; she got three years back. The spring note on salary and dividends is one page and we actually read it. £125 a month, nothing extra, ever.

Gareth and LisaPencoed
Landlord

Four rental flats and a part-time job. Nia did the sums on moving them into a company, showed me it would cost more than it saved, and told me not to. That is not what the firm that was selling me the company said. MTD quarters set up and filed; I do fifteen minutes a week.

Questions people ask before they switch

What does a package cost, and what is not in it?

Sole trader or landlord £45 a month, limited company £125, VAT-registered company £195, all plus VAT, with the software, the returns, the filings, the spring review, the tax calls and unlimited questions included. The only add-ons are payroll at £6 per employee and done-for-you bookkeeping at £60; the prices page lists every extra, and there is no hourly rate for anything.

What is Making Tax Digital and does it apply to me?

HMRC's rule that records are kept in software and figures are sent from it. VAT-registered businesses have been in it since 2022. Sole traders and landlords with income over £50,000 join from April 2026, over £30,000 from April 2027 and over £20,000 from April 2028, with four quarterly updates a year. The guide page explains it; the £45 package does it.

Is switching accountants a hassle?

No. You sign one letter; we write to your old accountant for clearance and the records, pick up from the last filed accounts, and check every Companies House and HMRC deadline ourselves on the first day. There is no charge for switching and the best time is the month after your year end.

Will I actually hear from you during the year?

Yes: a call in July and one in January to tell you the tax figure before it is due, a one-page note each spring on how to pay yourself, portal reminders six weeks before every deadline, and the year-end meeting. Plus whatever you ring about, which is included.

Do I have to come to Bridgend?

Once a year for the year-end meeting if you want it in person; otherwise everything is in the portal, on the phone or on video. About a third of clients have never been to the office.

Pick a package, or ask which one fits.

Sole trader or landlord £45 a month, limited company £125, VAT-registered £195, all plus VAT, everything in. Tell us what the business is and where you are with it and one of the three of us rings back the same working day with a straight answer, including which package you do not need.
