Late November to March, after the leaves are down and before spring growth. A second clear in May if you have trees over the roof.

  • Fascias and soffitsNot yet

  • DrivewayNot yet

  • PatioNot yet

Spring, before you use it, or September. Not in a frost: wet joints freeze and lift.

  • Roof moss removalNot yet

Late summer and autumn, when the moss is dry and brushes off whole, with the biocide following before winter.

  • Render cleaningNot yet

April to September: the biocide needs a dry fortnight and above 8°C to finish working.

On every house

Four rules we work by.

Proof, not promises

Every gutter run is filmed before and after with a camera on the pole. You get the photographs by text the same day.

No ladders on your gutters

The vacuum poles reach a three-storey roofline from the pavement. Nobody leans anything on a plastic gutter.

Soft wash where it matters

Render, roofs and painted wood get a low-pressure biocide wash, not a jet that strips paint and blasts mortar.

Honest about timing

If a job is better done in another month, we say so, even if it means waiting for your money.

The camera check

You see inside your gutters.

A camera on the head of the pole shows the inside of every gutter run on a tablet. We photograph each one before and after and text you the pictures the same day, with anything a roofer should see: a dipped bracket, a leaking joint, a slipped tile. Included with every clear, or £35 on its own for buyers and landlords.

Roofs and render

No pressure washer on a roof. Ever.

A jet drives water under the tiles and strips the surface that keeps them waterproof; on render, it takes the render off with the dirt. Roofs are scraped by hand and treated with a biocide; render is soft-washed at the pressure of a garden hose. Both are booked into the months when the treatment can work.

Gutters, terrace

Three-storey terrace on a hill and they did it from the pavement. The before photos were horrible. The after photos were empty gutters. £85 as the website said.

Gwen, Trallwn
Driveway and patio

The drive came up like new and they re-sanded every joint. Cerys told us to leave the sandstone patio's black spots for a lichen treatment rather than blast it, which I appreciated.

Paul, Church Village
Camera check

Bought a house and had the gutters checked before completion. The camera showed a dipped bracket at the back that the survey missed. Worth every penny of the £35.

Questions people ask

How much is gutter clearing?

A two-storey terrace is £65, front and back, with the camera check. Semis are £75, detached houses £95 and bungalows £60. The prices page works out your house with any extras.

Do you use ladders?

Not for gutters. The vacuum poles reach fourteen metres from the ground. Roof moss work uses roof ladders and, on taller houses, a scaffold tower.

Do you pressure-wash roofs or render?

No. A jet drives water under tiles and strips thin renders. Roofs are scraped by hand and render is soft-washed with a biocide at low pressure.

When is the best time for each job?

Gutters from late November, after the leaves; drives and fascias March to October; render April to September; roofs late summer and autumn. The home page shows what suits this month.

Do I need to be home?

Not for gutters, fascias or drives, if we can reach the back and use an outside tap. Photographs and the invoice come by text.

Are you insured?

Yes: £5 million public liability, and working at height training for both of us. The numbers are placeholders on this demonstration site.
