A 2-yard mini skip holds about twenty black bin bags of waste; a 3-yard, about thirty. That is a bathroom rip-out, a garage, a shed, or a weekend of hedge and lawn. They are small enough to go on a driveway, a front garden or a narrow terraced street where a bigger lorry would block the road.
Mini skips take heavy waste: tiles, bricks, soil, plaster. A full 2-yard skip of soil weighs about two and a half tonnes, which is why you cannot fill a big skip with it, but a mini is made for it. Fill to the top edge, not above: the driver has to sheet it and drive it on the A465, and an overfilled skip is either left or levelled by hand at your cost.

What it costs
A 2-yard mini £170 and a 3-yard mini £195, for fourteen days with delivery, collection, tipping and VAT. Including VAT. The size picker works out the skip for your job, and the delivery checker says whether you need a permit and when we can come.
Questions about mini skips
Will it fit on my drive?
A mini is 1.8 to 2 metres long and needs about 3 metres of width for the lorry to place it. Most terraced fronts and drives in the valleys take one.
Can I swap it for an empty one?
Yes, an exchange is the price of a new skip less £20, delivered and collected on the same visit.
