For bulky light waste: house clearances, shopfits and big sites
Maxi skips and roll-on roll-off
A 12-yard maxi for a whole house clearance or a shop refit, and 20 to 40-yard roll-on roll-off containers for building sites and factories. For bulky, light waste: no soil or rubble. From £385.

A maxi skip is tall rather than long: 12 yards, about 120 bin bags, the same footprint as an 8-yard builders' skip but half as high again. It is made for bulky, light waste: furniture, carpets, cardboard, timber, a whole house clearance. It cannot take soil or rubble; full of either, the lorry could not lift it.
Roll-on roll-off containers, 20, 30 and 40 yards, come on a hook-loader lorry that drags them off and on, and need a hard standing about 7 metres long with room to tip the body. They suit building sites, factory clear-outs and farms. We price them by the tonne above four tonnes, so we will ask what is going in.
If you are clearing a house, a maxi plus a separate collection for the fridge, the mattresses and the TV is usually the cheapest way. Ring and Sian will work it out with you.

Questions about maxi and roll-on roll-off
Why no rubble in a maxi?
Because 12 yards of rubble is about twelve tonnes and the lorry lifts eight. Rubble goes in builders' skips.
Do I need a permit?
A maxi on the road, yes, like any skip. A roll-on roll-off goes on private land only.
Order by two. On your drive tomorrow.
Pick the size, tell us where it goes, and Glyn or one of the drivers drops it with boards under it. Fourteen days, collection, tipping and VAT in the price, and the permit sorted if it goes on the road.
