The size picker said a 3-yard mini for our bathroom, £195, and warned that the fifteen bags in the shed would push it to a midi, so they went to the tip. The bathroom went in with a foot to spare. Ordered at eleven, on the drive at eight the next morning with boards under it.

Needed it on the road outside a terrace. The checker said Rhondda Cynon Taf, a £45 permit and the following Wednesday, and that is exactly when it came, with lights. I never spoke to the council once.
Builder. Two 8-yards a week for a year on an extension job and not one missed collection. They turned the full one round the same day when I rang before ten.
Clearing Mam's house. Sian talked me out of two skips and into a maxi plus a separate pick-up for the fridge and the beds. Saved about £200 and they were kind about it.
Skip was fine and on time. Four stars because I put a few old paint tins in and got a call about the charge; fair enough, it is on the website, but I had not read it. They took the tins off the bill when I said I had not known.
Wait-and-load for my dad's garage on a street where a skip would have been full of other people's rubbish by morning. Four of us filled it in forty minutes and the driver helped with the old freezer.

Paul put some half-full paint tins in his skip, which have to be pulled out at the station. The rule was on the website, but he had not read it, and nobody had told him on the phone. We took the charge off. Since then every booking confirmation carries the list of the eight things that cannot go in, and Sian reads it out on the phone.
