Gutters cleared by vacuum from £95 for a semi; fascias, soffits and gutters washed from £120
Gutters, fascias and soffits
Gutters cleared with a vacuum on a pole, a camera on the end so you see what came out, no ladder on your fascia, from £95 for a semi; and the white uPVC fascias, soffits and the outside of the gutters washed back to white from £120. The two together on one visit is the usual order, in autumn after the leaves.

Half the damp patches in Cardiff bedrooms are a blocked gutter, and the usual fix was a man on a ladder against the plastic, which is how fascias crack. The vacuum does it from the ground: a carbon pole to the gutter, a hooked nozzle, a camera on a second pole so we can show you the moss before and the empty gutter after, and the lot sucked into the drum in the van. A semi takes an hour; the first autumn after a moss-covered roof has been power-washed takes longer and we say so.
The fascias and soffits are the white boards under the roof line and the gutters are brown with twenty years of road dirt; a wash with a soft brush and a mild uPVC cleaner brings them back to white in a morning. It is the thing that makes a house look painted when nothing has been painted, and estate agents send us to do it the week before the photographs. We rinse with pure water so there are no drips down the render afterwards.
Downpipes get checked with a rod and flushed if they are slow; a cracked gutter or a dropped bracket is pointed out and photographed rather than fixed, because we are cleaners and not roofers, and we know two good ones. Conservatory box gutters, flat-roof outlets and the gutter behind a dormer are all reachable with the pole and included in the price for the house.

Questions about gutters and fascias
How often do gutters need clearing?
Once a year in autumn for most houses; twice if you have a tree over the roof or moss on the tiles. We put you on a reminder list and text in October.
Can you reach a three-storey house?
The pole reaches twelve metres, which is a three-storey terrace or a town house. Above that we use a platform and quote separately.
Your street has a day. Your house has a price.
The rounds page gives the day and the next date for your postcode; the prices page turns a window count into the figure. Send the form or a text and Lowri replies the same working day, and your first clean goes on the next round through your street.
