Services

Six things we do, each with a price.

All six

01

Domestic rounds, every four weeks

The round is the heart of it: the same two cleaners on your street every four weeks, on the day the rounds page gives for your postcode, with a text the night before. Pure water on a pole from the ground, the frames and sills with every clean, the doors free, no contract, and a price you can work out from the number of windows before you ring.

£10 a visit for the first four windows and £1.

02

Conservatories and conservatory roofs

The sides of a conservatory added to your four-week visit for £18, and the roof, which is where the green goes, as a one-off from £65: the algae and the moss softened and brushed off with pure water on a long pole from the garden, the gutter behind the roof cleared while we are there, and no one standing on the glass.

Sides added to a round visit £18.

03

Gutters, fascias and soffits

Gutters cleared with a vacuum on a pole, a camera on the end so you see what came out, no ladder on your fascia, from £95 for a semi; and the white uPVC fascias, soffits and the outside of the gutters washed back to white from £120. The two together on one visit is the usual order, in autumn after the leaves.

Gutters cleared from £95 (a semi) or £140 (a detached house), fascias, soffits and gutter fronts washed from £120 or £170, both on one visit from £190 or £280, including VAT and taking the moss away.

04

Shops, offices and showrooms

The shops on Llandaff High Street, Cowbridge Road, Whitchurch Village and Rhiwbina, done before they open: a single-fronted shop £15 a visit weekly or fortnightly, the door and the fanlight included, a double front £24, an invoice once a month. Offices, showrooms, cafés, surgeries and schools quoted by the pane after a look, inside glass at £2 a pane.

A single-fronted shop £15 a visit, a double front £24, weekly or fortnightly, from 6:30am.

05

Solar panel cleaning

Panels lose a tenth of their output to a year of pollen, bird mess and the film the rain leaves, and the manufacturers say pure water and a soft brush, nothing else. That is what we use, from a pole, from the ground or a secured ladder, £4 a panel with a £40 minimum. Spring, before the long days, is when it pays.

£4 a panel, minimum £40, so a ten-panel roof is £40 and sixteen panels £64.

06

One-off cleans and end of tenancy

A one-off clean before a party, a sale or a viewing, at the round price plus half; and the end-of-tenancy clean the letting agent wants, inside and out, frames, sills and tracks, from £60 for a two-bed flat and £95 for a three-bed house, with a dated photograph for the inventory. Saturdays and Wednesday afternoons, anywhere in Cardiff.

One-off outside clean: the round price plus half, minimum £25.

The price

Count the windows. The price is £10 for the first four and £1.25 for each one after.

A window is the glass, the frame and the sill, and the front and back doors are free. A two-bed terrace with six windows is £12.50 a visit; the typical Llandaff semi with twelve is £20; a big Edwardian house with twenty is £30. Every four weeks, no contract, and the first clean on a new round is half as much again because it takes two passes.

Every price, and the extras

A soft brush on a water-fed pole scrubbing a ground-floor bay window of a Victorian terrace, pure water sheeting down the glass and the sill bright white

How we work

Four things that are true of every round.

The same day, every four weeks

Your sector has a weekday and a week in the cycle, and we keep to it. Bank holidays shift the round by a day and we text you the change. Rain does not stop a pure-water clean; only ice and high winds do, and those days are made up within the week.

The frames, the sills and the doors are in the price

A window is the glass, the frame and the sill, and the front and back doors are free. We do not charge extra for a bay, a Velux you can reach from the ground, or the porch, and we do not ask you to be in.

Insured, uniformed, the same faces

£2 million public liability, a photo ID card on every cleaner, the same two people on your round for years, and a van you will recognise. We are the firm that cleaned your neighbour's windows last month, which is how most people find us.

If it is not right, we come back

A smear on a lounge window, a sill we missed, a spot on the glass after a hard frost: text a photograph and the cleaner on your sector comes back within two working days at no charge. It happens about once a month across two thousand houses.

A clean white van with a sky-blue side stripe, rear doors open to a pure-water tank, a hose reel and racked poles, on a street of Victorian terraces

Pure water

Nothing in the water, so nothing is left on the glass.

The tank in each van holds four hundred litres of tap water that has been through a resin filter until the meter reads zero parts per million. It carries no minerals to leave spots and no soap to leave a film, which is why the windows dry clear on their own and stay clean longer than a squeegee clean. The brush on the pole does the scrubbing; the frames and sills get the same brush; and nobody puts a ladder against your gutter.

  • Zero-ppm water, metered every morning in the yard
  • Poles to the third floor; no ladders for windows
  • Rain does not spot it; ice and high wind stop the round

Domestic round

Tuesday of week one, every four weeks, for six years. Rhys texts the night before, I leave the side gate, and I pay on the app. Twelve windows, twenty pounds, and the frames are whiter than the day we moved in. The rounds page told me the next date before I had rung.

Conservatory roof

Our conservatory roof had a lawn on it. Lowri did it from the garden with the long pole in an hour, came back three weeks later for the lichen without being asked and without charging, and cleared the box gutter that had been dripping into the kitchen. Ninety-five pounds.

Gutters and fascias

Gutters vacuumed and the fascias washed on the same morning: I was sent photographs of a gutter full of moss and then the same gutter empty, and the house looked like it had been painted. No ladder touched the plastic. £190 all in.

Where we are

Above the florist on Llandaff High Street, and on a street near you every four weeks.

The office is the first floor at 14 High Street, two doors up from the green; the vans live in a yard off Bridge Road. Twenty sectors across CF5, CF11, CF14 and CF15 are on the rounds, and one-off jobs go anywhere in Cardiff on Saturdays and Wednesday afternoons.

  • The office. 14 High Street, Llandaff, CF5 2DZ: the first floor above the florist, two doors up from the green, where Rhys started. The vans live in a yard off Bridge Road. Nobody is in the office on a weekday morning because they are all out on the rounds; ring, text or come on a Saturday morning.
  • Getting here. Buses 25, 33 and 62 stop on Cardiff Road by the cathedral green, a two-minute walk; Danescourt and Fairwater stations are fifteen minutes on foot. Parking on the High Street is an hour free; the Insole Court car park is five minutes away and free on Saturdays.
  • The four districts. CF5 (Llandaff, Canton, Fairwater, Ely, St Fagans), CF11 (Grangetown, Butetown, Riverside, Pontcanna, Leckwith), CF14 (Gabalfa, Llandaff North, Heath, Llanishen, Thornhill, Rhiwbina, Whitchurch) and CF15 (Tongwynlais, Radyr, Pentyrch, Creigiau). Twenty sectors, each with its day on the rounds page.

Questions people ask before they ring

How much is a window clean?

£10 a visit for the first four windows and £1.25 for each window after, frames and sills included and the doors free, every four weeks. A typical three-bed semi with twelve windows is £20; a large Edwardian house with twenty is £30. The first clean on a new round is half as much again. The prices page works it out from your window count.

Which day will you come?

Your postcode sector has a fixed weekday and a fixed week in the four-week cycle. The rounds page takes your postcode and gives you the day and the date of the next visit, from the same calendar the vans run to. A text the evening before confirms it.

Do I have to sign up for anything?

No. You are on the round until you tell us you are not. Skip a visit with a day's notice at no charge, pause for a month while the builders are in, or stop altogether by text. We ask only that you tell us rather than lock the gate.

What is pure water, and why no detergent?

Tap water run through a resin filter in the van until the meter reads zero dissolved solids. It dries without spots because there is nothing in it to leave behind, and it leaves no soap film on the glass for dirt to stick to, so the windows stay clean longer. The brush does the scrubbing; the water does the rinsing.

Do you use ladders?

Not for windows: the poles reach the third floor from the ground, which is safer for the cleaner and kinder to your gutters, render and flat roofs. Gutters are cleared by vacuum from the ground too. A secured ladder comes out only for a solar array behind a dormer or a conservatory roof with no garden access.

Can you come when I am out?

Yes, and most of our customers are. The text the evening before lets you unlock the side gate; the cleaner leaves a card with the date and what was done; you pay by bank transfer that evening or by GoCardless automatically. If the gate is locked we do the front, charge for the front, and text you.

Your street has a day. Your house has a price.

The rounds page gives the day and the next date for your postcode; the prices page turns a window count into the figure. Send the form or a text and Lowri replies the same working day, and your first clean goes on the next round through your street.
