What we collect

When you use the price request form we collect your name, mobile number, email address and postcode, a preferred date if you give one, what you need and how often, and anything you write. The form also records the time it was sent and your IP address, used only to block automated submissions. The rounds page and the prices page collect nothing: both are worked out from the address bar on each request and nothing you type is stored.

When you join a round we keep a customer card: your address, the window count and the price, the sector and the day, your mobile number for the text before each visit, notes the cleaner needs (the side gate, the dog, where to leave the card), the date and amount of each visit and how it was paid. If you pay by GoCardless, the mandate is held by GoCardless and we see only that a payment was made. Card payments at the door go through the reader\'s provider and we never see the card number.

Why we use it

To answer your enquiry and give you a price (our legitimate interest in replying to you).
To perform the contract: planning the round, sending the text before each visit, cleaning, and taking payment.
To keep accounting records (a legal obligation).
To ask for a review after a visit, which you can decline by replying.

Who sees it

The two cleaners on your sector, who carry the round list on a phone with a passcode; our accountant; GoCardless and the card reader provider for payments; and the independent review platform if you agree to be asked. We do not sell or share your details for marketing, and we do not use tracking cookies or analytics scripts on this website. The map on the where-we-are page is served by Google and is subject to their privacy policy; the fonts are served by Google Fonts.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become a round are deleted after six months. The customer card is kept while you are on the round and for twelve months after you leave, in case you come back; payment records are kept for six years for tax purposes. The texts are sent from a business phone and deleted after ninety days.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we have no legal reason to keep it, and object to our using it for marketing. Email hello@clearlywindows.co.uk or write to the office; we answer within a month. If you are not happy with the answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner\'s Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

The price request form sets one session cookie so that it can stop the same person sending two requests within thirty seconds. It expires when you close the browser and carries nothing about you. Nothing else on the site sets a cookie.
