Weddings
One wedding a day. Yours.
Forty-eight a year and never two on the same day, so the florist who sat with you over tea builds the flowers, delivers the bouquet to the house by ten and dresses the barn herself. The consultation is free and an hour; the quote is by the piece and held for sixty days; and from April to October we grow a row for you.

How it works
Tea, a mood board, a quote by the piece, and a row in the garden.
The consultation
An hour in the shop on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evening or a Saturday morning, free, with tea. The venue, the dress, the colours, the photographs you have saved, and the budget, which we ask for first because it decides everything.
The quote
Within a week: a mood board of what we are thinking and an itemised quote with every piece priced, bouquet to bar. Change anything. It is held for sixty days and a £150 deposit holds the date.
The growing
From spring to autumn we plant for your colours in the garden at Llanblethian: dahlias, sweet peas, cosmos, foliage, picked two days before. Winter weddings use British and Dutch growers and the garden's foliage and berries.
The day
Bouquets and buttonholes to the house by ten. The ceremony dressed, then the reception, with the ceremony flowers moved across if that is the plan. Hired vases and the arch collected on the Monday.
What things cost
By the piece, so you can decide what matters.
Including VAT. Three worked examples below; the quote for yours will be itemised the same way.
The small one
From£450

Book the consultation
Free, an hour, Tuesday to Thursday evenings or Saturday mornings.
Send the form with your date and venue, or ring Megan on the weddings number, and we come back within the working day with a time. Nine to twelve months ahead is comfortable for a summer Saturday; less for other days. Bring photographs, a swatch if you have one, and the budget; leave the rest to the tea. We will say at the consultation if the date is already taken, so you are not waiting on a quote for a Saturday that is gone.
- Saturdays in May to September go first; ask early
- Venues across the Vale, Cardiff, Bridgend and the Gower
- Elopements and small ceremonies welcome; the small one is a real option

Wedding questions
Can we have peonies in October?
No, and we will say so rather than fly them in. The seasons page shows what October has: dahlias, chrysanthemums, hydrangea, berries and the last garden roses, which photograph beautifully. We will show you.
Do you do just the bouquet?
Yes. The small one on this page is a real option and about a third of our weddings; a bouquet, posies and buttonholes delivered to the house is a lovely morning and costs from £450.
What if we change our minds?
The quote is by the piece and held for sixty days; change anything until then. After that, changes up to a month before are fine within reason, and a bigger change is requoted. The deposit is non-refundable within six months of the date because the row has been planted.
Do you work with our venue?
Probably: we have dressed most of the barns and hotels in the Vale and several in Cardiff, Bridgend and the Gower, and we know which ones let us in the night before. Tell us which and we will say.
Order by 1pm and it is there this afternoon.
A hand-tied from the best of the morning, a bowl for someone grieving, a bunch every fortnight, or an hour in the shop to talk about a wedding: ring, send the form, or come in. Same-day delivery across the Vale by electric van, £5 local, £8 across the Vale, free over £60.
