The team
Gareth designs and surveys, Nia runs the diary and monitoring, and two employed engineers fit and service. Every one is DBS checked and carries ID.
Founder and senior engineer
Gareth fitted his first alarm in 1993 as an apprentice in Cardiff and opened Watchtower on the Atlantic Trading Estate in 2009. He still does most of the surveys himself, because he says the survey is where a system is made or ruined. He grew up in Cadoxton and knows which back lanes in Barry have a gate and which do not.
Operations and monitoring
Nia runs the diary, the monitoring contracts and the service schedule, and she is who you speak to when you ring. She spent eight years in an alarm receiving centre in Newport before joining in 2019, so she knows exactly what happens at the other end when an alarm signals, and how to set up a keyholder list that works.
Behind every visit
Every engineer is vetted to the security screening standard and DBS checked, and carries photo ID. Ask to see it.
Manufacturer training on every panel and camera range we fit, refreshed each year.
The day before, you get a text with the engineer's name and photo, and another when they are on the way.
