Measured, not guessed
The width between the piers and the height to the lintel decide the size. The headroom above the opening decides whether a sectional's tracks will fit. The side room decides whether a roller door's guides will. And the floor, level or sloping, decides how the bottom seals. Jodie measures all four, so the door we order is the door that fits.
How we work
Headroom, side room, the floor and the lintel all decide which door fits. We measure every one before quoting, because a sectional that will not clear the lintel is no good to anyone.
The door, the frame, fitting, making good, the motor if you choose one, and taking the old door away. No extras on the day.
Electric doors are fitted with safety edges or photocells and force-tested, as the standard requires. We will not fit a motor to a door that is not safe to automate.
Ten years on the door panel, five on motors and springs. A yearly service for £69 keeps it that way.

Customers
Jodie spotted the low lintel at the survey and quoted low-headroom tracks, so there was no surprise on the day. Old door out, anthracite sectional in, electric working and tested by three o'clock.
Short drive, full garage ceiling, so a roller door was the only thing that worked. Neat box inside the opening, quiet enough, and they took the old door away.
A straightforward red up-and-over to replace the 1970s one. Half a day, the frame made good and the price exactly what Mark quoted.

The showroom
Every type of door full size on the Avondale estate, manual and electric, in the colours people choose most, with swatches to take home and hold against the house. Six days a week, parking outside.
Opening times and directionsA standard single up-and-over is from £695 fitted, a roller door from £1,195 (electric), a sectional from £1,595 and a side-hinged pair from £1,395. The door chooser prices yours by width, colour and motor.
Most single doors are fitted in a day or less, with the old door taken away. Doors are made in two to four weeks after the survey.
Short drive or full ceiling: roller. Warmth and quiet: sectional. Simplest and cheapest: up-and-over. Walk in more than drive in: side-hinged. We explain at the survey.
Usually, if it is an up-and-over or sectional door in good condition. We check the door first; from £395 fitted.
