£95 a month: a programme written for your gym, form checks by video and a half-hour review each month, for people who have trained here

Online programming

For clients who have done a programme in the room and moved away, travel, or want to train in their own gym: a programme written for the kit you have, updated every four weeks, form checks from the videos you send, and a half-hour video review each month. Not offered to people we have not assessed in person.

Strength programming at a distance works for people who already know the lifts and have been watched doing them; it does not work for beginners, which is why we only offer it to clients we have coached in the room. The programme is written for your gym or your garage, the videos keep the form honest, and the monthly call keeps the weight going up.

Every four weeks a new block arrives: the lifts, the sets, the weights to aim for, the accessory work and the homework, written for the kit you have told us about. You film a set of each main lift once a week and send it; we send it back marked up within two days. The monthly review is half an hour on video with the numbers in front of us both.

£95 a month with no contract, and the first month half price for anyone finishing a programme here. Clients who come back to Penarth can book single sessions at £65 at any time, and most do, once or twice a year, for the assessment and a look at the lifts in person.

Questions about online

Can I start online without coming in?

No. We need to have assessed you and watched you lift in the room first; the risk otherwise is too high and the results too poor. One programme in the room, then online if you like.

What kit do I need?

A barbell and a rack is ideal; a pair of adjustable dumbbells or three kettlebells will do for most of it. Tell us and we write for what you have.

Start with the assessment. Ninety minutes, and an honest answer.

Your story, the letters, how you move under a light bar, four baseline measures in a book you keep, and ten minutes on what it will take and whether we are the right people. £60, credited against a programme, and refunded if we say we are not.
