An hour in the room with one coach, £65, or inside a twelve-week programme from £47.50 a session
One-to-one coaching
The way most people train here: an hour, one coach, the rack to yourself, a programme written from your assessment, and your numbers in a book. Available as single sessions at £65 or, for nearly everyone, as a twelve-week programme at one, two or three sessions a week with the assessment and the reviews built in.

One-to-one strength coaching is simpler than the industry makes it look: a coach who watches every rep, a bar that gets a little heavier when it should, and a programme that knows what you did last week. The room is yours, the door is closed, and the only other person in it has read your assessment and your physio's letter.
Every programme starts with the ninety-minute assessment and a written plan for twelve weeks: which lifts, which variations for your shoulders or knees, how the weight progresses, what to do on the days between (usually a walk and ten minutes of the homework), and the measures we will check at weeks six and twelve. Sessions are an hour: a warm-up specific to you, two or three main lifts with the coach on every set, accessory work for whatever is weak, and five minutes writing the numbers down.
Single sessions at £65 are for people topping up a programme or visiting; nearly everyone trains on a programme because it is cheaper per session and because strength takes twelve weeks to build, not four. One session a week with the homework is enough for most people over fifty to get meaningfully stronger; two is the sweet spot; three is for the ones with a date in mind.

Questions about one-to-one
I have never lifted a barbell. Is that a problem?
It is the usual starting point. The first four weeks teach the five lifts with a light bar or a kettlebell; nobody is put under a loaded bar until the form has earned it.
Can I just book sessions without a programme?
Yes, at £65, after an assessment. We will tell you honestly that a programme is better value and gets better results, and then let you decide.
Start with the assessment. Ninety minutes, and an honest answer.
Your story, the letters, how you move under a light bar, four baseline measures in a book you keep, and ten minutes on what it will take and whether we are the right people. £60, credited against a programme, and refunded if we say we are not.
