Desk 4

Office and admin

Accounts, reception, payroll and customer service. Permanent or by the week, with their software skills tested.

A good office manager is worth their weight in gold, and rarely on a job board. Sian has placed people in Bridgend offices for fifteen years, and knows who is quietly looking.

We test what matters for the job: a real spreadsheet task, a sample of ledger entries, a phone call for reception jobs. A CV says "advanced Excel", and the test tells you whether that is true. For accounts roles we find out what software they have actually used, not what they have once seen demonstrated.

Candidates get honest advice, too. Is the salary fair? Is the manager reasonable? What is the parking like? We will say, because you are going to find out on Monday anyway. Part-time and school-hours jobs are a large part of this desk, and many of the best people we know want exactly that.

Questions about office and admin

Can you help with my CV?

Yes, and it is free. Sian will sit down with you for half an hour. Mostly it means taking things out.

Do you have part-time jobs?

Often, yes. Filter by Part-time on the jobs page, or register and tell us the hours you can do. We hear about school-hours jobs before they are advertised.

Looking for work, or looking for someone?

Register in ten minutes and we will ring you, or tell us about the job and we will come and see it. Free for candidates, and no fee for employers unless someone starts.
