Construction

Trades, labourers, groundworkers and site managers. CSCS cards and tickets checked, and honest payslips.

Tickets checked, boots on, and at your gate at half seven. We do not send a joiner who has just done a weekend course, and we do not hide deductions in small print.

We check CSCS cards online and ask to see the tickets that matter: NVQs, CPCS, SMSTS, first aid. Then we ask who they last worked for and ring them. Builders know each other around here, which helps. For a sudden gap in a programme, we can often fill labourers and groundworkers by the next morning.

For workers: we pay through PAYE on our own books, and we do not push you towards an umbrella company. If a client wants you on CIS, we explain exactly what you will take home before you start. Site managers and surveyors are handled by Gareth as permanent searches, with a real conversation about the programme you will inherit.

What is included

  • Trades, labourers, groundworkers, plant operators
  • CSCS and tickets checked, and references taken
  • PAYE on our own books, explained plainly
  • Next-morning cover for programme gaps
  • Permanent site managers and surveyors

What it costs

Temporary trades are charged at the pay rate plus about 32%, and permanent site managers and surveyors start at 15% of salary. Every price is on the sectors page; the employer calculator shows your fee.

Questions about construction

Do you use umbrella companies?

No. Our temps are on our PAYE payroll. If that ever changes for a particular job, we will show you the deductions in writing first.

I lost my CSCS card. Can I still work?

Not on most sites until it is replaced. We will check your status online and point you to the replacement process. It is usually quick.

Looking for work, or looking for someone?

Register in ten minutes and we will ring you, or tell us about the job and we will come and see it. Free for candidates, and no fee for employers unless someone starts.
