One long session, one follow-up
Stop smoking
For people who have decided to stop and want another way in. It works alongside NHS stop-smoking support, and we recommend you use that too.

Let us be plain: reviews of the research have not shown hypnotherapy to be clearly better than other approaches for stopping smoking. Some people find it helps. It helps nobody who has not already decided to stop.
Help Me Quit, the free NHS Wales service, has the strongest evidence behind it, because stop-smoking medicine and support together make the biggest difference. Use it. There is no reason not to do both, and we will not be offended.
In the first session we talk about when you smoke, what it does for you, and what you will do instead at those moments. Then you relax in the chair while Mair talks you through it, and you practise a short routine you can use at the back door. The follow-up, about a week or two later, deals with whatever has come up.
What is included
- A ninety-minute first session
