The coaches

Two coaches, both natural.

Carys writes the preps and reads most of the check-ins; Owen runs the posing studio and the off-season clients. Both have competed in tested federations, and both have placed last at least once.

Carys competed in natural figure for eight years, all with tested federations, and started coaching friends at the gym on Station Road when they asked how she had done it without wrecking herself. Stage Ready opened in 2017 in the shop next door.

She writes the preps, reads most of the check-ins and is backstage at the local shows. Level 3 personal training and a nutrition certificate (fictional placeholders on this demonstration site); she refers anyone needing a medical diet to a registered dietitian.

Owen did his first natural classic physique show at 24 and placed last, which he says taught him more than any win since. He spent the next three years learning to pose from judges and choreographers, and now teaches it in the studio at the back.

He runs the posing sessions, most off-season clients and the non-competitor coaching. Level 3 personal training and first aid (fictional placeholders).

We do not read blood results, diagnose, or write medical diets. Your GP and registered dietitians do, and we refer to both.

Insured, first aid trained

£5 million public liability and professional indemnity; first aid at work for both, renewed every three years.
