Drug-free physique coaching · Port Talbot · since 2017

Stage ready. Naturally.

Contest prep, posing and off-season coaching for drug-tested federations only, from a shop on Station Road with a posing studio at the back. Slow preps, normal water, bloods through your GP.

We coach nobody who uses performance-enhancing drugs, and we never cut water.

Coaching

Six ways to work with us, priced.

All the prices

No. 1

Contest prep

The full prep, written backwards from your show: training, food targets, weekly check-ins, fortnightly posing and a peak week that is mostly about sleeping well.

£160 a month, sixteen weeks minimum, posing included.

No. 2

Off-season building

Most of the physique is built between shows. A training plan for progress, food targets that support it, and monthly check-ins to keep the gain slow and lean.

£110 a month, month to month.

No. 3

Posing coaching

One-hour posing sessions in the studio under a stage light: the mandatory poses for your category, the quarter turns, the transitions and the routine, filmed for you.

£45 a session, four for £160.

No. 4

First-show coaching

Contest prep with the first-timer's extras: choosing the show and category, registration and the federation paperwork, the suit, tan and day plan, and a coach backstage.

£175 a month, sixteen weeks minimum, posing and backstage included.

No. 5

Physique coaching for non-competitors

The way bodybuilders train and eat, without the show: a plan to build muscle and get leaner, monthly check-ins and a posing session if you want one.

£95 a month, no contract.

No. 6

Reverse dieting after a show

Eight to twelve weeks after the stage: food brought back up steadily, training rebuilt, bloods rechecked through your GP, and help with how the body and the head feel afterwards.

£80 a month, or free for eight weeks after a prep with us.

Healthy practice

Four rules that do not bend in show season.

Natural, and tested

We only coach for drug-tested federations, and we only coach people who are not using. If that changes, so does the coaching: we stop.

Health outranks the stage

If your sleep, mood, periods or bloods go the wrong way, the prep slows or stops. A show is one day; you live in the body for the rest.

Slow is the method

Sixteen weeks minimum, often twenty-four. Losing about half to one per cent of bodyweight a week, not crash dieting in the last month.

You see a human

A weekly check-in read by Carys or Owen, an in-person posing session every fortnight, and a phone that gets answered.

The posing studio

Two physiques, five places apart. The difference was posing.

At the back of the gym, behind a door that closes: a low platform, a full-length mirror and one warm stage light. An hour with Owen or Carys on your category's mandatory poses, the quarter turns and the transitions, filmed and sent to you with notes.

  • £45 a session, four for £160
  • Included in contest prep and first-show coaching
  • Open to anyone, competing or not

What clients say.

First show

I was terrified of going on stage. Twenty weeks of prep, a posing session every fortnight, and Carys backstage telling me when to pump up. I placed third and I loved every second of it. Nobody ever mentioned water cutting.

ElinNeath
Contest prep

My third show and the first one where I did not feel ill in the last month. Slow, steady, the bloods done before and after. I came in fuller than ever because I was not dehydrated.

Posing

Four sessions with Owen took me from sixth to second in classic at the same federation a year apart. Same physique, near enough. The videos he sends are worth the money alone.

Questions before a consultation

Do you coach enhanced athletes?

No. We coach for drug-tested federations only, and we do not coach anyone using performance-enhancing drugs. We will not advise on them, either.

Do I need to want to compete?

No. About half our clients never step on a stage; physique coaching is the same method without the date.

How far out should I start?

Ideally twenty to twenty-four weeks before the show, sixteen at the least. The countdown planner shows where any date falls.

Will I have to cut water before the show?

No. We keep water and salt normal right up to show day. Dehydration makes you look flat and can be dangerous; it has no place in our preps.

What does it cost?

Contest prep £160 a month, first-show coaching £175, off-season £110, physique coaching £95, reverse dieting £80 (free after a prep with us), posing £45 a session. The consultation is free.

Do I need to live in Port Talbot?

No. Around a third of clients are online. Most come into the studio for posing at least a few times before a show.

Start with a free half-hour. No sales, no scale.

Come in or call for thirty minutes: your training, your history, the show you have in mind if you have one, and an honest answer about whether it is the right time. If it is not, we will say so and say what would change it.
