Fabric blinds for kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms and bays
Roller blinds in blackout, dim-out and light-filtering fabrics, and lined roman blinds that fold softly up the window. Made to the millimetre for your recess or to sit outside it.

Real basswood slats, tilted to the light you want
Basswood and faux-wood venetians in 35mm, 50mm and 63mm slats, with cotton tapes if you like them. Tilt them for privacy and light at the same time.

Full height, tier-on-tier, café style and tracked
Made-to-measure shutters for bays, sash windows and patio doors, in hardwood, MDF or waterproof ABS. Six weeks to make, a day to fit, and they last as long as the house.

A switch, a remote, your phone or a timer
Roller, roman and vertical blinds on quiet motors, battery or mains, on a wall switch, a remote, a phone app or a sunrise timer. Good for high windows, wide windows and rooms with children.

We measure before we make
Old Penarth houses are not square. A recess can be five millimetres narrower at the top than the bottom, and a blind made to the bottom measurement will not go in. So Hannah measures every window at three points across and three down, notes which way it faces and what is in the way, and orders to the smallest. If anything does not fit, that is our problem, not yours.
How we work
We never make from your measurements. A recess that is 3mm out of square changes how a shutter hangs, and we would rather find that than you.
We ask which way the window faces and what the room is for, then suggest the fabric or slat that gives that light, not the most expensive one.
The quote includes the blind, the brackets, the fitting and taking the old ones away. Nothing is added on the day.
Mechanisms, motors and shutter hinges are guaranteed for five years. If something sticks, Owain comes back.
Plantation shutters
Tier-on-tier shutters on a street-facing bay are the most-asked-for thing in the showroom, and they solve the Penarth problem: houses close to the pavement, rooms you want full of light. Six styles, three materials, made in about six weeks and fitted in a day.
