The team

Seven of us, no subcontractors.

Carys designs, Gethin fits, and between them two fitting teams, a plumber, an electrician and a plasterer we have used since 2011. Everyone who works in your house is someone Carys has introduced you to by name.

The people

Carys Morgan, a Welsh woman in her late forties with short silver-blonde hair and tortoiseshell glasses, in a charcoal jumper beside a door sample rack in the showroom

Carys Morgan

Owner and designer. Every design visit, every drawing, every quote and every fit

Trained as an interior architect, spent twelve years designing kitchens for a national retailer and left because she was tired of selling people what was on promotion. Carys opened the showroom on Heol-y-Deri in 2009 and still does every design visit herself, draws every kitchen and runs every fit. She put the price bands on the website because, she says, everybody wants to know and nobody wants to ask.

Gethin Price, a Welsh man in his mid-thirties with a dark beard, in a forest green work shirt with a pencil behind his ear, holding a spirit level in a half-fitted kitchen

Gethin Price

Lead fitter. The fitting teams, the trades and the aftercare visits

Served his joinery apprenticeship at the works near Bridgend that makes our carcases, so he knows how they are built as well as how they go in. Gethin joined in 2013, leads both fitting teams, coordinates the plumber, the electrician and the plasterer, and does most of the six-week and one-year aftercare visits himself. He hoovers every evening and makes his teams do the same.

  • 1,150+kitchens fitted since 2009
  • 5 yearsaftercare on every kitchen
  • 2fitting teams, our own, never subcontracted
  • 4.9average rating

The trades

Who else will be in your kitchen.

Two fitting teams

Gethin with Owain, and Ieuan with Tom: joiners who fit kitchens and nothing else, every day, and who have fitted together for years. One team per kitchen from the first day to the last.

Our own plumber

Rhodri is Gas Safe registered, moves the sink, the dishwasher and the washing machine where the drawings want them, and signs off the gas if the hob is gas. He has the sink back on by day three.

Our own electrician

Steffan is NICEIC registered, fits the cooker and induction circuits, the sockets and the lights, tests everything and sends the Part P certificate the week after the fit.

The plasterer

Dai has made good behind our kitchens since 2011: the walls where the old tiles came off, the chases for the cables, and a skim if the room needs one, dry before the units go back.

After the fit

Gethin comes back at six weeks and at a year.

Every new kitchen moves a little in its first winter, so both visits are booked on the day we finish. Gethin goes round every door and drawer with a screwdriver, and for five years anything we fitted is a visit within the week at no charge.

Aftercare

Start with the design visit. An hour, and it is free.

Carys comes to your house, measures every wall with a laser, shows you the doors and worktops in your own light, and sends scaled drawings with a fixed quote within a week. The estimator gives you the band before she arrives.
