What we collect, why, how long we keep it and how to ask us about it.

What we collect

When you use the booking form we collect your name, phone number, email address and postcode, a preferred date if you give one, what you are thinking of and roughly when, and anything you write. The form also records the time it was sent and your IP address, used only to block automated submissions. The estimator collects nothing: it is worked out from the address bar on each request and nothing is stored.

At the design visit we record the measurements, photographs of the room, and notes on the pipes, drains and electrics; the drawings and the quote follow. When you order we hold the order, the deposit and payment records, the fitting plan, the electrical and gas certificates, and the aftercare record, which we keep so a replacement door can be matched years later.

Why we use it

  • To answer your enquiry and book the visit (our legitimate interest in replying to you).
  • To perform the contract: designing, ordering, fitting, certifying and the aftercare.
  • To keep accounting records and the building-regulations certificates (legal obligations).
  • To ask for a review a month after the fit, which you can decline by replying.

Who sees it

Our designer, fitters, plumber and electrician; the works that makes the kitchen and the quartz fabricator, who get the drawings and the delivery address; the appliance suppliers, who register the appliances in your name; our accountant; and the independent review platform if you agree to be asked. We do not sell or share your details for marketing, and we do not use tracking cookies or analytics scripts on this website. The map on the showroom page is served by Google and is subject to their privacy policy; the fonts are served by Google Fonts.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become an order are deleted after two years, in case you come back to the drawings. Orders, drawings, certificates and the aftercare record are kept for fifteen years, the length of the carcase guarantee; payment records for six years.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it where we have no legal reason to keep it, and object to our using it for marketing. Email hello@rhiwbinakitchens.co.uk or write to the showroom; we answer within a month. If you are not happy with the answer you can complain to the Information Commissioner\'s Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

The booking form sets one session cookie so that it can stop the same person sending two requests within thirty seconds. It expires when you close the browser and carries nothing about you. Nothing else on the site sets a cookie.
