The estimator said £17,400 to £22,800 for a medium painted kitchen with quartz; the quote was £23,400 including taking the pantry wall out, and that is what we paid. The sink was back on the Wednesday of the first week. Carys answered every text, including the one at ten at night about the colour.

They came to the site before the extension slab was poured and told the builder where to bring the waste and the cables up. When the kitchen went in, everything was exactly where it should be. Gethin's team is the tidiest trade we had in the whole build.

The oak doors came a week late. Oak orders now have the extra week built in.
Gareth's cottage kitchen was the right kitchen and the fit was the right fit, but the works was a week late with the solid oak doors and the third week of the fit ran into his family's visit. Carys rang the day she knew and took the plastering off the bill. The fix is in the estimator now: oak shows nine weeks from order, not eight, because that is what the works has actually delivered in for the last two years.
