A small kitchen from £8,500, a medium from £14,500, a large from £22,000, fitted with the trades

Fitted kitchens

Rigid carcases made to order in Wales, soft-close hinges, and doors in painted shaker, handleless matt or solid oak, fitted by our own teams with the plumbing, electrics, plastering and skip included. Priced by the room and the finish.

A newly fitted forest green shaker kitchen with brushed brass handles, a pale quartz worktop and a large island in a 1930s semi

We sell one carcase, because it is the right one: 18 mm board, rigid, glued and dowelled at the works rather than flat-packed, with a 15-year guarantee. What changes is the door. A painted shaker in any of forty colours, with a choice of brass, black or nickel handles, is what most of Rhiwbina chooses for a 1930s semi. A handleless matt in charcoal, linen or forest suits an extension. Solid oak suits a cottage or a farmhouse, and costs the most.

The price is the room, the door and the worktop. A small kitchen is up to about eight metres of units, a galley or a terrace back room; a medium is up to fourteen, the usual semi; a large is more than that, or an island and a run of tall units in an extension. The estimator works it out from those three and the bands are the ones Carys quotes in.

Everything to make it work is in the price: the old kitchen stripped and taken away, the plumbing moved where the sink moves, a new cooker circuit and sockets with the certificate, the walls made good and skimmed where the old tiles came off, the floor levelled for the plinths, and the appliances fitted. You pay for flooring, tiling and decorating only if you want us to do them, and we say so on the quote.

Fitted, including the trades, the old kitchen taken away and VAT: a small kitchen with painted doors from £8,500, a medium from £14,500, a large from £22,000. Handleless and oak cost more; the estimator gives the band for each. Including VAT. The estimator gives the band for your room; the projects page has eight kitchens before and after, with what each cost.

Questions about fitted kitchens

How long does a fit take?

About two weeks for most kitchens; three for a large kitchen or one in a new extension. The sink is back on by the end of the third day, and we lend you a two-ring hob.

Can I keep my old appliances?

Yes, if they fit the new design, and Carys will check the dimensions. We fit them at no charge.

Start with the design visit. An hour, and it is free.

Carys comes to your house, measures every wall with a laser, shows you the doors and worktops in your own light, and sends scaled drawings with a fixed quote within a week. The estimator gives you the band before she arrives.
