£15 an hour with the backline, evenings and weekends, the same room every week if you want it
The rehearsal room
A separate room on the ground floor with a PA, a drum kit, two guitar amps and a bass amp, for bands getting a set ready or songs ready to record. £15 an hour, weekday evenings and weekends, with a regular slot held for bands who rehearse weekly and a record button if you want to hear yourselves back.

The rehearsal room is where most bands first come to Redbrick, and where the good ones work out their songs before they spend money in the live room. It is a separate, soundproofed room on the ground floor with its own door to the embankment, so a band can load in, play loud for three hours and load out without crossing a session upstairs.
The room has a PA with four vocal microphones, a five-piece kit with cymbals (bring your own snare and sticks if you are particular), two guitar amps, a bass amp and a keyboard stand. It is £15 an hour, Monday to Friday 6pm to 10pm and from midday at weekends, and a band that books the same slot every week pays £12 an hour and keeps the slot.
There is a stereo recorder in the room, and for £10 we hand you the session on a link at the end, which is the single most useful thing a band can hear before a recording session. Before a live-room booking, we suggest one rehearsal here with one of our engineers listening for half an hour, free, to plan the session: what to track live, what to overdub, and what to fix first.
The room is not for lessons, parties or anything louder than a five-piece; it is soundproofed to the building, not to a festival. The free sessions for today and tomorrow are on the book page with the other rooms'.

Questions about rehearsal
Do we need to bring anything?
Guitars, a snare and sticks if you are particular, and your own cymbals if you are very particular. Everything else is in the room.
Can we leave gear here?
Regular weekly bands can leave a drum kit and amps in the locked store behind the room at no charge.
Pick the room and the hours. The price works itself out.
The live room is £45 an hour, never more than £150 for a half day or £300 for a day; an engineer £20 an hour on top, capped the same way. The book page does the sum and shows what is free today and tomorrow. Half the quote holds the date.
