What we collect, why, how long we keep it and how to ask us about it.

What we collect

When you use the booking form we collect your name or the band's, your phone number, email address and postcode, what the session is for, how long, a date if you give one, and anything you write. The form also records the time it was sent and your IP address, used only to block automated submissions.

For a session we keep the booking, the invoice and the deposit record, and the recordings themselves: audio multitracks, mixes, video files from the podcast suite, and voice-over takes. Recordings contain your voice and, in the podcast suite, your image; they are yours, and we hold them on your behalf.

Why we use it

  • To book and run your session and deliver the files (our contract with you).
  • To keep accounting records (a legal obligation).
  • To keep your files available for ninety days so you can download them (our contract with you).
  • To ask for a review after a session, which you can decline by replying.

Who sees it

The engineers who work on your session. Recordings are shared only with the people you tell us to share them with, by link. Live streams go to the platform you choose. The review platform receives your email address once. The booking form sends an email to us through the web host. We never sell or share your details, and we never publish or use your recordings, even a clip, without your written permission.

How long we keep it

Booking requests that do not lead to a session are deleted after six months. Session files are kept on our server for ninety days after the session and then deleted; ask before then if you want them kept longer, or take them on a drive. Accounting records are kept for six years as the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our using it, except where the law requires us to keep it. Email bookings@redbrickstudios.co.uk. We answer within a month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This website sets a session cookie only when you send the booking form, to limit repeat submissions; it expires when you close the browser. There are no analytics or advertising cookies. The map on the find-us page is loaded from Google, which may set its own cookies when it is displayed; the page works without it.
